I'm not trying to start a racist war on here but this article by Award-winning Kansas City Star columnist Jason Whitlock who is black brings up some excellent points.

"A little-publicized fact is that the Colts and the Patriots — the league's model franchises — are two of the whitest teams in the NFL. If you count rookie receiver Anthony Gonzalez, the Colts opened the season with an NFL-high 24 white players on their 53-man roster. Toss in linebacker Naivote Taulawakeiaho "Freddie" Keiaho and 47 percent of Tony Dungy's defending Super Bowl-champion roster is non-African-American. Bill Belichick's Patriots are nearly as white, boasting a 23-man non-African-American roster."

I wish their was at least one starting white cornerback in the league. Sehorn was the last.

That is quite interesting. I enjoy reading Whitlock and getting a side to things that I won't see.

Lemme preface this by saying I take no issue with you posting this, so I'm not shooting the messenger.

You know what's sad? The fact that people want to end racism, but yet it is continuously brought up in articles and magnified in the media. It should just not be talked about in any form if people want to help end it.

Yeah. The old ostrich stick your head in the sand and pretend that it doesn't exist and it will go away theory. Can't see that working.

But this reminded me of the last Niner game I went to. A huge RV comes rolling through the RV lot and this old guy gets out. We were throwing the ball around having a good time so he walks over to us. He says that he is the uncle of Patriots O-lineman Logan Mankins. The VERY next thing he says is Oh yeah, he's prejudice as hell! It gives him an extra incentive to do damage to 90% of the opposing players! We just looked at each other and cracked up.
I won't say I'd like to see more white players in the league because I am white and that would be racist of course.

Maybe we could rename the Pats "Fightin' Whities" so that the Redskins won't be the only racially offensive team name in the league.

Maybe the vegitarians or PETA would be upset by using all animal names. :)

Nah, as long as we don't have the Philadelphia Cheese Steaks or the Kentucky Fried Chickens we should be ok.
