Man, I'm glad I no longer live in Southern "Burning" California. I have to call my mom and see if her cabin in Big Bear is still standing. Everytime one of these damn fires flares up like this (which is pretty much once a year), Arrowhead and Big Bear mountains suffer the hardest...

I'm in Orange County and the smokes so thick outside it's terrible, can barely breathe when I go outside. At least no fires are by me though. Good luck and I hope you are out of harms way.

there is so much smoke to the east south and north of me right now.

If I wasn't next to the ocean I'm sure it would be west of me as well.

I am literally surrounded by fires.

Every route I would take to go out of town seems to be closed by fire now.

Well if I ever have to evacuate, I'll be taking a cruise ship :D

San Diego's not looking good. Two fires reported last night and today it comes out to like eight! I received a call around 7am to NOT come to work due to the fires and from watching the news all day, it sounds like I won't be going to work tomorrow, with about 50 homes alone destroyed out in Poway, where I work at. This is crazier than the wildfires from 2003.

Stay safe San Diego...

They should just solve this problem once and for all and either pave every last inch of Cali that's covered with trees, or simply blast the state off the country and name Kurt Russel the leader of the floating island hell :p

My in-laws just got an evacuation notice. They live about 10 miles from us. They're heading over here to our place (they're good people). One of my wife's sisters will be heading to our place soon as well :cool:

This is scary stuff :o

That's pretty scary. Are all the fires just due to the heat?

No chance of that happening here, it'd be put out by the rain within 10 minutes. Besides, we only have about 50 trees on the island.

the wondows on my truck had about a 1/4" of it this morning and I am about 20 miles from the nearest fire. :eek:

I live right below where the 163 and the 805 meet. I'm safe for now. I'm at work though in Old Town at the moment, but I'm taking off to go drop off some supplies for the evacuated people at Qualcomm stadium. Keep safe SD boardies!
