Authentic Jersey Measurements....

Does anyone know what is the equivelant measurement for a Medium or a Large in Authentic NBA or MLB Jerseys? I've been looking all over for a measurement scale that will tell me how to measure for Authentic Jerseys with no luck what so ever.

For MLB they are M-40, L-44, XL-48, XXL-52. Basically they go up by 4 each time. You can sometimes find in between sizes like a 50, but those are usually only issued to teams, but sometimes find their ways on the market. I assume the numbers mean the same for all sports, but I only know baseball for sure. The numbers represent the distance in inches from armpit to armpit, multiplied by 2 (to go all the way around the chest).
