OT: XBox360 NHL '08 on line play, a question.

I just got my 12 year old son an XBox for Hanukah. He is a huge hockey fan. How does a league that some of you guys are in work? I assume you have to have the XBox plugged into the internet, right? Then what happens? Do you actually play against each other on line? How do you find a mutually convienient time? Who sets up the schedule? I'm sure I'll have more questions. Thanks in advance.

Everyone joins a league... you have to be online at the same time as someone else to play against them. That's the biggest pain in the butt, is actually finding someone online at the same time.

One person just sends the other person a game invite and if both people accept, you play against each other. The more wins, the higher you are in the standings. Make sense?

There is no schedule either. You have to play each team a certain amount of times and cannot play against one team fifty times.

you subscribe to xbox live,get the game and when people are on you play against each other. in the short lived league i was in that's how it worked. i thought there would be a set schedule,but it was pretty much when the other members were on.
