I know it is not as high profile as QB or RB but Nick Folk of Dallas has some impressive stats for a rookie.
He leads the entire NFL in scoring with 65 points.
He is 13 of 15 on field goals. Missing one from 50 yards and having one blocked by the Bears.
He is a perfect 26 of 26 on extra points.
AND he has already won a game, kicking a 53 yard field goal not once but twice, on a Monday nighter no less.
All this from a sixth round pick
I know the concensus pick is Adrian Peterson(who by the way has been great) but Folk has scored almost twice as many points for his team.(65 - 36 to be exact)
Just think about it.;)

There is no way he will win it over Peterson or Lynch for that matter but he has been impressive.

You can't be serious. A kicker? Get real man.

There's an offensive ROY and defensive ROY, but he plays neither, so until there's a special teams ROY, a kicker will never win.

If a Kicker can win MVP then I'm sure a kicker can win ROY.

A kicker has as much chance for ROY as say a kick returner (Hester last year for instance).

It happened once like 30 something years ago? Ever realize why it hasn't happened since?

Mark Mosely in 1983. He had a great year, several big kicks and set the record at the time for most consecutive field goals made. I think that it could happen, if that person were say Jason Elam ish (someone that makes several game winning kicks). Folk will get some votes but won't win it.
AD will win....Leads the NFL in rushing.
