All the official names are below. There are so many "weak" Eastern conference d-men that there should be a Fitzpatrick vote-in here. Who's up for voting Mark Eaton to the team?

Wade Belak would be hilarious, but the Leafs get too much attention as it is, so forget that idea.

Yes the Leafs certainly do get too much attention. Maybe if all the haters would just ignore the Leafs that attention would be reduced by at least half.

Stupid question, but is getting ballot nominated based upon last season's play or this season's current play? Thanks in advance!

Probably a combination of both.

But it doesn't really matter since you have the option of voting for anyone in the league that you want. The names that they do list are just "suggestive" top picks.

Pretty sure there are no "write-ins" this year.

NHL.com is where you vote, and it starts on the 13th.

Anybody got a direct link for the online voting? I don't see anything on NHL.com's front page and their search engine is for crap.

That link is completely useless if you're not previously registered there. I'm not registered, so I can't use the link.

Explain how.....

That page took me to a login screen. It won't even let me register as a new user - it on allows existing users to log in.

Perhaps you're an existing user & you have cookies enabled in your browser?

I haven't voted on my work laptop before.. the link took me to a page with 4 buttons, one for US, Canada, French Canada and International. there's a login screen at the bottom. I click Canada and it takes me here: http://fanballoting.nhl.com/vote.asp?site=CA and the 10 boxes for the conference selections, two write-ins at the bottom, and the security number thingy
