Picked up a Death Star model today and boy is it annoying to assemble
Not sure if i will paint it yet or not, depends how i feel

If anyone with photshop can add a battle scene background to the last pic that would be pretty awesome

I would think that a Death Star model would be EASY to assemble. Did they TRY to make it tough to assemble? lol

Anyhow, as far as painting it, I'd almost say to leave it as is. MAYBE add some darker gray for the contour lines (like for the center ring with the docking bays and all that jazz), but that would be about it. I'd defnitely recommend painting the base of it though.

I agree with deogg... paint the base. Maybe a charcoal grey or black?

yeah, I'd say all black and silver lettering for the base. Maybe just a dark wash on the death star itself. Nice model

I think a charcoal wash would look really sexy on that...

Teehee...........actually "Deathticle" is from a fan film that was made by imitationmilk.com I think.

OMG it was so funny. If you haven't seen it, you REALLY need to. It was a spoof commercial for Episode III before it came out.

I laughed so hard.

The emperor shows darth the "blueprints" for the death star and it's just some stupid drawing of a circle within a circle.

He says, I've been working on this.........he puts the paper on the desk..........darth looks at the paper, and then the emperor a couple times and then asks in a confused manner, "A booby?"

OMG it was so funny.

Yeah, models look way better when they're painted.

Add some fiber-optic lights to the Death Star. It's a big ball, it should be easy.
