Whoever found it never tried to sell it or come on this board to brag about it. Some little kid probably has it.

What's the big deal - I could see if Marty had signed it.

mostly likely repainted as a NHL8 belfour, as nobody cares for Todd Mcfarlane's signature :D

My thoughts exactly. I know Todds responsible for this hobby and our awesome figures, but outside of the Spawn books and figures, I don't get why anyone would care if his signature is on it.

Its like me making a print of a Tom Brady picture, then signing it...because I made it.

If I remember correctly, you could have turned it in for some type of redemption.

I am not sure if that applied to the brodeur fig, or the Angus young inserts which were released at about the same time.

It was probably painted over in the one time that TMP actually used QC.

I am convinced that the T.M. Brodie pad is in the bottom of some kid's toy box, totally forgotten.
Wouldn't surprise me if a couple of 13 Selanne figs aren't in the same spots.

Or it's in the Spawn Warehouse... where those 9 MLB 5 Black Bonds remain.:(

About the pad... it wasn't actually signed- it has his INITIALS.
As for it being some sort of redemption thingy- very funny:)

Or could it be in some MIMB Collector's collection?!?

If you are not an opener, would the signature/initials/whatever it is be able to be seen through the window of the Team Canada box?

My guess is that there are still a lot of these sealed boxes sitting in collector's manroom's too.

Speaking of the TC box sets, who was the boardie in the US that found both of them at a flea market for $10 sometime in the past year? That was a sweet haul story.

are you kidding? mcfarlane and his art is still immensely popular in the comic book industry. last year, his cover on the ultimate spider-man #100 for the heroes initiative got over $6K while the covers for the other 80+ artists probably only averaged $500 each.

probably the majority of the people collecting sports figures only know mcfarlane through the figures but dont know much about his background or his popularity in the comic book industry.
