I was looking over the NHL 18 photos and saw that there were 3 players that had multi-poses(or however you want to put it), and it got me thinking about players that really deserve a new sp. Not to say these players didn't, but I'm sure some people feel differently. Some of the players I think could use a new sp...

Nabokov, Kovalchuk, Lecavalier, Lidstrom, Modano

and some of my own wishes... Hasek (Sabres, any Sabres uni.), Bourque (Bruins, I know theres one already), Bure (Canucks), and I know this one wouldn't be popular but Osgood (Redwings, it was painful to see him made in an Islanders uni.)

Feel free to share who you'd like to see...

You have some good choices but I'm going homer so.... Elias, Gionta, Parise 3 pack, scratch that, I'll just take 1 of them right now. Kovalchuck is beyond due for another SP, but playing in Atlanta is not helping.

saying Elias, Gionta, and/or Parise would not be being a homer it would be someone who doesn't undertand what the topic was created for

he is talking about players who have existing sculpts getting done again

I am against repetition for the most part but I think Vinny, Illya, and Nicklas would all be top tiered candidates (not including any players I think should be represented in retro unis)

New Kovalchuk, Stastny, Parise, and Legends Bure in the black Canucks jersey (with Panthers chase).

New Kovalchuk and Nabby (even though it will be hard to top his 1st pose - my favorite) for sure !!

out of curiosity why would a player who was released as recently as March of this year be a must for a new fig anytime soon?

Have you not seen his numbers? He plays for the Wings (always a seller), he'll be starting on the All-Star team and he was in Sakic 2's pose. He's far worthier than most and especially deserves his own pose.

sure I've seen his numbers

but from a financial standpoint why would TMP put out a player in the next year they did as recently as March of this year .... they already have a head sculpt done (I don't see them doing a new one) and would likely just slap it on an existing NHL16 onward sculpt in the RBK Edge uniform

the time to argue for a unique pose was prior to his NHL14 release

Shanny needs another go, as does Rick Nash. Turco in an original pose would also be welcome.

Oh, I'm not, just wishful thinking. But he is a solid player in a very small market. Very slow last year and the start of this one, but he has come on strong lately.

oh you don't have to try and sell me on Rick Nash's talent
just sayin' don't count on a second .... I think (know) you get the point

Mark my words; he'll get a 2nd SP sooner than you think. Datsyuk too.

I would go crazy for this figure! Especially if they painted him in the red jersey with the '98 Cup patch. And I believe this figure would be a better seller than you think. Most Wings sell well and Osgood has played alot of years (11 now) with the Wings. He has started for the Wings in 2 Stanley Cup finals during the 90's and won one in '98.

Not to mention that so far this season he is 13-1-1 with a 1.79 GAA (#1 in the NHL) and a .924 save%. And in 621 games played over his 14 previous seasons he is 336-186-77 w/ 43 S.O.

Plus he has that cool cage mask that only he and Dom have now. And has a cool sculpt that has so far been wasted on Brian Bouchar and the Isle's Ossie. TMP could just do a Wings repaint and it would make a great surprise chase figure.

But, as always, this make way too much sense and will likely never happen.

However, LIDSTROM-2 IS A MUST!!!!!
