I'm getting a jersey framed, do I need any special prep to keep the autographs from fading or turning yellow, etc.? A standard sharpie marker was used. Thanks for your help.

Use UV glass when getting the jersey framed....
I don't thinkn the newer sharpies have a problems with yellowing anymore....the older black sharpies used a yellow dye that caused the yellow ghosting on an autograph overtime, but I think they elminated the yellow dye.
If UV is too expensive, just keep the jersey out of direct sunlight.

in addition to sunlight, keep the item away from fluorescent lighting
also, make sure the matting is with archival/acid-free material

Use "acid free" backing and keep out of direct sunlight. Dont spend the money for full UV, unless it will hang outside.
