I'd also consider this my grail of the last several years. :D

Inside (the glare is from the translucent sheet that is inscribed with a letter from Ridley Scott, which you lift like a flap), everything is packed snug in thick foam.

The concept art cards are awesome, with nice little liner notes on the reverse sides.

The Spinner replica and Unicorn, shown next to my cell for size reference. The Unicorn is actually molded plastic. The Spinner is made of mostly light plastic with some die-cast, it looks and feels like it was made my Matchbox - but it's still damn cool, and the doors open!

And, for those wondering... I haven't watched any of it yet. I'm waiting until after the holiday, when I get my surround sound set up. :D

How is something that just came out a grail?
I bought one too though.

103000? Some "limited edition" eh?
Still, looking forward to mine showing up from Amazon soon..

I've been waiting for an official special/limited/collector's edition of Blade Runner since I first saw the film 4 years ago.
It's my grail. I love the movie, and I love that they finally gave it this treatment. For something like this, I could care less about edition size.

That's a typo. It's a run of 10000

Nice buy.
And it is a grail of sort; it's something you've wanted for a long time. However, a grail kind of entails that it exists but haven't found it yet.

The 103,000 wasn't a typo, but that edition size includes the Blu-Ray versions as well - I'm not sure how many of each they made.

$54.99 courtesy of Amazon. My local FYE was the only place over the holday weekend that had it stocked, for $79.99  Glad I went against my gut and preordered it anyway.

It is available in HD DVD & Blu ray. Early reviews I've read gives it favorable reviews in terms of picture quality. (http://www.thedigitalbits.com/reviewshd/bladerunnerfinalallver01.html)

Well that certainly seems much more reasonable. Thanks.
And just to clarify I wasn't complaining about the edition size because it matters to me, personally I'm just glad to be able to get this set after waiting so many years for everything to get sorted out. No, I was just bringing it up because it was being sold and publicized as a "special limited edition", which if the edition size had been that large would have just been flat out deception.
Regardless, it's a fantastic looking set, and I can't wait until mine shows up...

No, there are 10 000 of each. So 30 000 total.

Well, yep, that pretty much seals the deal, don't it? Back to my original comment about bs marketing this as a limited edition given that huge an edition size. Again, not that it matters, but still...
