They look great, if I was still collecting DC figs proper then I'd be all over these...
It's a bit of a shame that Orion doesn't have an alternate (ugly/angry) head though.

No, I didnt find any. When I got there they only had the ones I picked up and an extra Batman fig.
I like this BAF. When I first saw pics online I thought it was a pass, but I'm glad I didnt. I like how the big hand , hammer, and base piece come off.

Thanks for the Metamorpho pics MarkG, I just got Etrigan today in the mail. I was expecting the "Collect and Connect" figure piece to be way bigger, its about the size of a 6" Spiderman figure's arm. I don't understand why Mattel didn't just sell Metamorpho as a standard figure instead of breaking him up as a BAF since he's so small. I'm still not sure it I want Meatamorpho, I was only interested Etrigan out this series and I don't really care for the other figures. As for the Demon, Etrigan rules!!! he's as big as Mongul (he can look him right in the eye), has a great paintjob (no slop anywhere), pretty poseable, and has no problem standing on his own.

BAF has nothing to do with DC, it stands for Build a figure. When regular figs come with parts of another figure to build.

If anyone wants to part with their BAF figures, I'd be interested. I'm only interested in Penguin and Bats figures at this point but Metamorpho is a huge memory from my childhood comic days so I need the three other parts. I'm in Canada, but have a US shipping addy too.

Well something is better than nothing. We used to pay ten dollars for the batman and superman figures and they still came with nothing. So I can't complain.
Now I hope I see batman beyond done comic book style.:D

Future C&C figs are planned to be bigger than the norm figs (still not as big as the ML BAF....but still bigger)......Metamorpho is merely an exception. I suspect because his leg/hand extensions make him bigger than the rest.
That packaging alone is fifty times better than what Mattel was using before. Those colors really stand out.
Yup....awesome touch to keep the pic of each character into a mere sliver (which only shows barely their entire face)....this is great for moc if it weren't for the C&C character.
nice haul, any variants?Only 2....I believe the Red Tornado in the pic IS a variant (the norm is the modern version one). The other is Penguin w/ a mechanical penguin.

Seems like every company is having a BAF line these days. That's what happens when something is an excellent marketing tool. On one hand, it gives companies "almost a guarantee" that consumers will buy the whole set.....and on the other, it gives hardcore collectors a character that normally wouldn't be made due to lack of commercial interest. ;)

mostly, I would agree with ya. Except with the Legandary Heroes line. I want the Pitt BAF so bad, but I refuse to plunk down the 40-50 bucks it would take to get him

i mean really, its good for all. The less toys left on the shelf, the more likely the store will re order. Thats something alot of toy companies seem to not understand. Sure, Spiderman is having to make toys, but when 9 out of the 12 figures in the case are spidermans, and not Kravens or Black Cats or Green Goblins, the extras sit. With BAF, it moves all the figures in the set. keeping the pegs fresh

I saw in this months ToyFare that you could buy that entire set of "six" for ninety-nine bucks plus shipping.
I guess even though you only get five figures, somehow you are paying for "six."
Some dealers are about one grade below roach crap and puke.

See I don't buy that. How is Metamorpho more obscure than Orion or Etrigan? BAF's should be larger figures. This character we wouldn't get if it wasn't a BAF business is BS. I'm so tired of all these Orion and Etrigan figures. Why'd they have to make more for this DC Universe line?;)

At the rate Hasbro is going, they will maintain the title of smallest BAF. The next Mattel Grodd is a step in the bigger right direction.
