Bit your tongue. Best defensive CF of all-time. Willie Mays couldn't hold his jock defensively and I think Willie Mays is the greatest player all-time.

I am interested, though, in how moose chose Flood. I mean, I'm all for it but for a non-Cardinals fan, I would have thought Brock, Musial, Cepeda, or McGee would have come up first.

Frank Robinson - Reds
Stan Musial - Cardinals
Ernie Banks - Cubs
Whitey Ford - Yankees
Jim Palmer - Orioles

Then a good 3rd line after that:

Wade Boggs - Red Sox
George Brett - Royals
Lou Brock - Cardinals
Bob Feller - Indians
Juan Marichal - Giants

Then a good 4th line after that:
Ferguson 'Pothead' Jenkins - Cubs
Robin Yount - Brewers
Eddie Murray - Orioles
Don Drysdale - Dodgers
Keith Hernandez - Mets

Etc, etc.

There are plenty of great players left (not including making doubles of players like Berra, Seaver, Ruth and Jackson who need them). If going by his list and mine, TMP gets to 2012 and they've felt they've run out of players...I'd be shocked.

i'd want Frank Robinson if i had to replace Flood, but Flood really got the ball rolling on free agency. a great player with a big impact on the game = cooperstown worthy
