I just wonder how they are going to incorporate all the stuff being found out through viral marketing in the actual movie? Will someone that hasn't researched know what the hell is going on and why it happened after they watch it? Thats going to be tough.

I don't know why everyone keeps comparing this to "Blair Witch".
If there's actually a monster in the damn movie, it's already 1000 times better.

Someone on the Youtube comments mentioned that the sight was near the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and the Atlantis Massif . I looked it up and you should too. It's a massive mountain on the ocean floor that is unlike others in the area.Pretty cool!! My guess is that's where they are drilling and where the monster comes from. I love when they throw out premovie stuff like this!!!:D

I just wish Abrams wasn't getting all the credit, as he's not the director or writer. I like him and all, but I dunno, I think more credit needs to go to the director and advertising staff.

This is marketing a movie at it's very best. This and the Poughkeepsie Tapes are my most anticipated movies of 08.
This has all the feeling that Lost has in between seasons with their little videos and hints dropped here and there. No coincidence that Abrams is involved with both of these projects.

You better dial back that hope for "The Poughkeepsie Tapes". That piece of rotten crap makes the piss poor "August Underground" flicks look ****ing brilliant in comparison.

Advanced screenings happend yesterday. Reviews starting to come in.
I can't believe how disappointed I am. Shouldn't have gotten caught up in the hype monster.
I can't stop thinking how much cooler it could have been if they actually went with that fanart creature design we all saw. The real monter, not so much. Hate the premise Abrams explained in an interview, a "scared newborn". Ugh.
But, time will tell. Definitely still seeing it.

The few reviews I've read so far have been the movie is ******* remarkable! I don't want to read to much and spoil it though. A scared newborn big ass monster in a hostile enviroment doesn't bother me one bit. I read the parasites will make your skin crawl.
