I recently came across this line. I normally do not collect super hero figures but, I really like this series. The Alex Ross artwork is awesome. I like this set of figures because they are regular figures. I hate the battle armor Batman, Superman figures, etc. I just want a set of regular DC Justice League Figures. I currently have Hawkgirl, Plastic Man, and Poison Ivy.
Do any of you guys collect them? If so, where are the best places to get them, price wise?
Thanks,

The older ones are starting to become hard to get, but they just released a 4 pack of Batman, Superman, GL & WW. Those are the hardest to find at a good price & are good ones to start with.
Here's a pics of the ones I have. I also have the armored Bats which is actually pretty cool.

I do plan on picking up the box set. In fact I may have to get two, one to open of course. That still leaves me without some major characters like Aquaman, Flash, Shazaam, etc.

A lot of the FYE stores that are closing, like Suncoast, Saturday Matinee, etc, will have some of those on sale right now.
The Flash is a tough find though.

i recently picked up the Justice 5 pack for $35 from Frank and Sons. It comes with Justice #1 comic book too. I love Alex ross' art. He's a great guy too. I was fortunate to meet him and hang out with him for a bit back in day when he was doing a lot of stuff for the Warner Bros Store. I still regret not picking up the original Kingdon Come Supes.

Yeah, but I have serval Kingdom Come figs still in the box. Looks nice. I picked up the Re-Activated one just to open it.
Man, you can drop some serious cash with so many figures available. the Spectr with Alex's dad is a sweet combo as well.

I collected the first five series and all the Kingdom Come figures up until recently, but haven't picked the latest set. Got sick to death of them falling over all the time (even on stands), and the last time busted the arm off of my Bizarro and split Black Manta's helmet in half...very annoying.
By the way, this line is finished as of series 8 (with Batgirl, Supergirl, Toyman and Captain Cold), however it is being replaced with Alex Ross JSA series 1. The only figures known to be in the first series so far are Alan Scott Green Lantern and the new Starman.

That sucks.
If we are lucky, we will get an Alex Ross Powergirl early in that line up. JSA figures do not appeal to me like the Justice figures did.
Is it too much to ask to get a Spawn line like the Alex Ross Justice line?

That's the older JSA series 1. How could you mistake that for Alex Ross?
And Ross is currently doing work on JSA so it makes sense that the toyline would follow. FYI, alot of those characters you just named that need to be made are JSA characters.
Not to mention...why would they make Steel and the others in a JUSTICE line? Its based on the JUSTICE comic book, which takes place in Earth-22's silver age. Alot of those characters weren't in the story and don't/won't exist in that story.
The toys that JUSTICE needed to finish it off were an Elongated Man w/tiny Ray Palmer, Metamorpho, and the Metal Men.

Look. I don't read comics. I know virtually nothing about Alex Ross or his books. I do know that the Justice series is probably the best DC series since the Super Powers line back in the 80's. I just want a normal set of Justice League figures that didn't buy steroids from baseball players, are not zombies, and don't have battle armor. Alex Ross's drawings are amazing and he seems to have done most of the Justice League as I know it, anyway. I don't know who all he has or has not done. I was trying to think of some more characters to continue the line. It obviously popular, so it only makes sense to make more and not stop now. That's all I was trying to say.

The Alex Ross JUSTICE figures were based on the 12 issue comic series of the same name which finished last summer, which is why the action figure set has run its course.
If you like Ross figures you should check out the Kingdom Come line, check the pic in my earlier post for pics..

I heard the latest series has a few re-hashed sculpts. Anyone know if that's true?

The next series of Justice has John Stewart Green Lantern, which is basically a glorified kitbash combination of the Hal Jordan Green Lantern with the head sculpt from the first John Stewart Green Lantern dc direct figure added as a head, and the required paint variations. That said, he still looks solid enough for a John Stewart GL.
It also has Gorilla Grodd, which is exactly the same figure as the previous Grodd release, only with a new "angry" head sculpt, which doesn't look very Grodd like to me (I far prefer the old 'calm' Grodd head sculpt, far more in character in my opinion).
Other than that it has the armored "Superman" and armored Aquaman (who looks very Creature From The Black Lagoon). This series should be out any day now.
Then in August the last series of justice with Batgirl, Supergirl, Captain Cold and Toyman hit.
Oh, and as for where I got my news of Alex Ross JSA, heard it from Julius Marx over at AFI, although I believe it was also in Toyfare's latest issue...

I'm looking forward to the Batgirl Supergirl and possibly Captain Cold in August.
The only ones this month I may get are the Armored Superman from that line. The rest do not interest me.
I agree, the John Stewart Green Lantern and Grodd figures are pretty weak considering it has been a strong line.

I had basically heard exactly what you said about Grodd and John Stewart. I also thought it seemed quite obvious when you really looked at them especially Stewarts head. I don't think the Grodd was terrible but in the end he's still just a giant gorilla figure. I'll probably just buy John Stewart to have all of the heroes.
Sledge Hammer!

I think Grodd is okay, but when I look at the Justice do-over Grodd I don't really see Grodd, I just see a big angry monkey, and I just think the original release of that figure (that I always really liked) suits the character far better than the new angry head version. Likewise I always liked that head sculpt for old JS, so I'm not that down on it's re-use personally, but it is rather lazy and not exactly value for money considering the price line on these figs...

I don't disagree with any of what you just said. I like the JS head but its funny how its quite obvious that it isn't based on the art of Alex Ross like the previous heroes faces were. A bummer but it won't keep me from having a Alex Ross body styled JS.

Here's a question. I love the idea of the stands but two of the three figures I have do not stand up too well. It's like the hole in the foot doesn't hold to the peg very well. Any ideas how to get them to stand up better?
Also, I realize I am way behind in this series. Does anyone have or know where I can get Flash, Hawkman, Shazaam, and Aquaman at reasonable prices? I basically need all of series 1, 2, 4 and 5. I plan on getting the box set. I'll only need the Joker in series 3. I have seen sets of series 5 for decent prices but not much on the earlier series.

Well, he's prettymuch an acceptable GreenLatern second to Hal Jordon. I'm not really a Green Lantern fan beyond that. I certainly don't buy the comics. I did pick up a few Neal Adams one's from the 70's (back issues for me) which were great.
