Because this mech item...is a model kit: http://www.cooltoyreview.com/story/front/Kotobukiya_Spotlight_Alt_Eisen_Riese_111616.asp

Which means I'll never get it, cause I can't do a model kit to save my life, :(:(

Making model kits is actually not that hard. Just gotta have the right tools. There are guides and faqs out there that can help you... a lot.

They say model kit, but it probably just comes in a few pieces. I'm sure they're even fully painted already and everything. Remember the Gundam kits? It's probably the same as those... no need to worry, neat mech though.

Still...my can't it be an expensive figure? I'd have an easier time with that. It's still a great looking mech bar none. It gave me chills when I saw it.

You can actually get people to build and paint these things for you. So, if you want to go the expensive route... that'd be the way to go. You have to actually buy the kit first though, I'm afraid.

Well, my girlfriend offered to do it for me, but it wouldn't have the same feeling. But, I suppose I could look past it.

Then look past it my son, look past it. :p

I always rather enjoyed making Gundam model kits. I actually used to sell them in high school. I think I sold about 8 of them and all for around $40 bucks each, depending on the figure though. Had quite a deal going till I got completely friggin' bored of it.

But...like...I'll bet that thing has to be painted with excellence to look as it does in the pictures.

As said above, some model kits are pre-painted, and only a few pieces that snap together....

This pred is a model kit that came prepainted, and was only a dozen or so pieces that snapped together.

I suppose if it does come pre-painted and looking beautiful I might get it.

It is articulated, so that's another pro.

We'll have to wait till April.

That's the thing, that was done by a pro. You can actually get it to look very similar if you do it the way you're supposed to instead of just rushing it. It takes patience and some degree of learning if you're new though.

I'm just about positive it'll come pre-painted, like the aforementioned Pred kit. I'm guessing this because, Koto does these "model kits" all the time and they're ALL pre-painted.

btw, that Scar looks awesome in person. Nice pic MM.

Well...I can always marvel at it.

By Koto? Chances are good that all you have to do is lock/fit in pieces together, like pegs.

I gave up on gundam kits. It simply looks like arse everytime I build one.

It won't come fully painted... in the sense that it's a highly painted piece. I've been looking at some of the pics and it seems like it will come with pieces that are colored plastic. You will more than likely have to paint some of it though, mostly detail areas and stuff. That is almost guaranteed right there.

Well, if that ends up being the case, I'll go for it.

If it's anything like the Gundam Model Kits, then it should be fairly simple.

You think you are in pain?

What about having a 2,500 USD model as grail.

Knowing that I don't even know how to build model kits.

Dude, relax it's a Kotobukiya kit which means it's already painted and probably in 5 or 6 pieces that pop right together. My 3 year old niece could put one together, seriously. Don't worry...

Well it looks as though the kit will be similar to the Gundams in assembly.

It's good to have your dreams destroyed so early and over something so small. It really cuts down on the sucidal impulses you'll feel later in life, because your expectations have been drastically lowered.

They're Mortar Headds :p

Not sure where you got gears from :p

The giant green thing is the Jagd Mirage Twin Tower. It's so much because it's a resin kit and it's HUGE, especially with the Towers on it.
