I drive a "95 Talon. Last night I got gas and went to start it and got a bit of a turnover then nothing, Tried it again, absolutely nothing. Luckily the towtruck dude was there and I know him so he gave me a boost and it started fine. Let ir un for a few minutes, no problems. Parked it at my girlfriends, plugged in, overnight. Just tried it, nothing. Dead. But when I turn the key just over so power can run to everything theres a little constant weezing noise. Need a new battery ? Alternator ?

start with the simple stuff first - battery cable connections/corrosion, etc. then go to the bigger things (battery, alternator) - my old Mustang used to have voltage problems and the solenoid would just sit there and click repeatedly; not sure about the "wheezing" though

Yup start simple - clean your posts - connect a charger - more than likely though its either your posts or your battery.

Could be either of those. The fact that the car jumped, looks more like the battery, when your alternator goes out you do not go anywhere. Take it to a sears, they will do a batt check for free! Keep in mind batteries last 5-7 years so if it is that age or older get a new one!

Awesome. Thanks guys. Ya there is corrosion on the posts. I brushed alot off but there still is some. Hopefully it is that. I just replaced the engine last year. $4000 !!!! I'll take it to Sears and get it checked. The towtruck guy said it is old so it could be that. Much appreciated guys, thanks again.

Take some Coca-Cola to the battery posts it eats the corrosion away without a blink ! Good Luck bro !
