what the hell are you talking about? Sure the Pats, but the Sox are defending World Series Champs and the Celtics have the best record in the NBA! Yeah they have lost a couple as of late with Garnett out of the lineup, I hate this area as much as anyone but they are still on top of the game for sure right now!

Oh it will be a FINE day if and when the Sox Crumble.
When will Sox Fans take the blinders off and realize that Boston is the NEW EVIL EMPIRE?

Im ok with being the new evil empire to all the small market teams...as long as we keep winning championships. It sure beats having nothing to look forward to every summer :)

And don't forget about the Bruins. Even though they hold a playoff spot, they have lost 2 in a row which is clearly a sign that they can't handle the pressure of being a Boston team, and can't handle the loss the Patriots suffered. It's only a matter of time before the Bruins are passed by the rest of the East, including, dare I say, the Lightning...

Celtics are far from crumbling. They have lost 2 tough games vs the Cavs and Magic yes. But they were without Kevin Garnett both games went down to the wire. Once KG gets back the Celtics will be back to normal. They still have the best record.

it happens every year...maybe its time for Tim Thomas to not start every game

Do you really want your team to go into is playoffs with the best record? Didn't one of those Boston teams just do that recently?

Shoot, I'm a Detroit fan and I logged off the boards for 2 days...the nonsense people talk is just out right stupid. I even saw one Cowboy now Giant meatrider saying.."Yeah it must really suck to be a Pat fan when your team is #1 all year then loses the Superbowl....I thought yeah it must really suck being a Cowboy fan being #1 in the NFC and blowing it AT HOME in your 1st playoff game....now that would suck...just shows 90% of the people on here are bandwagon fans....I see cowboy/eagle/redskin fans jumping up and down for the Giants.....ARE YOU KIDDIN ME....rule #1 "being a true fan you NEVER, EVER root for a division rival" ....MEATRIDERS

Im really confused about this thread..I love the Cowboys lol but what the Patriots did was incredible even though I was pulling for the Giants. My god they were winning with 2 minutes to go in one of the best Super Bowls I have ever seen...If my team finishes 18-1 and lost the last game I would be upset but think of that incredible ride to get there..Crumbling far from it...The Red Sox World Series Champions crumbled god the Rockies took it to them by getting swept..Man I wish my Mets had the dissapointment of crumbling by winning the World Series..Celtics what a turn around from one of the worst teams to one of the best..Ill take that crumbling anyday..
And yes talk about falling into sports oblivion..Mets got eliminated from the baseball playoffs after crumbling in Sept and Dallas had home field until the Super Bowl but they started falling apart the 2nd half of the Green Bay game..It has been a tough year for me lol

Time for NYY to take back the Division, Joba Chamberlain is gonna be a big reason why

And if you were wondering why a Cowboys fan was pulling for the Giants..I got sick of hearing how dominant the AFC was all year...NFC all the way...

You think the Celtics struggling has something to do with KG missing the last 5 or 6 games? Still 7-3 over their last 10. They have Perkins, Scalibrini, Davis and Powe playing in the post. So you do the math.

rule #1 "being a true fan you NEVER, EVER root for a division rival"
If my favorite team is out/eliminated, then I think I have every right to root for whatever team I want to, regardless of what division they play in & for what ever reason I want.
I think the term "true fan" is used by people to try to put other fans, who they feel are unworthy of being fans of a specific team, down. There is no universal fan rulebook of what every single sports fan can and can not do to be considered a fan of their team.
