Some are and some are sent from the player to the Co.

I guess 100% you dont but it is not like through the mail autos or the old days when guys had ghost signers. All players get paid to do this and sign a contract.

it's always fun to bust packs/boxes but as far as collecting anything collect what you like and not what you think is gonna be worth money.

I totally agree with that.......It isnt any fun if you are just chasing the quick flip.

Chasing a quick flip is the easiest way to lose money. My advice to anybody just starting out is to buy cards you like on eBay. Join a site like www.sportscardforum.com (http://www.sportscardforum.com) and do some looking around. Once you figure out what you like, then buy packs, boxes, etc.

I am looking for suggestions on getting cards graded...

I am not really sure if I want to for with PSA the whole membership is an issue to me and then having them shipped back to Canada is a pain, as people always get stung on taxes and duty and it is often a real headache.

Beckett just bumped their prices, but they will ship to a US address for me. They also charge an additional $2 for for an autograph grade and most of my cards are autographed cards. Ends up being more expensive, but I am leaning to them.

SGC is cheap, have a shipping address in Canada, as well as shipping back from Canada, so it eliminates the border issues. Prices are really good, cases look nice... might use this for some of my personal collection and old Beehive hockey hards (seriously over sized). But if I am going to go through the hassle, maybe I should just go with one of the other 2...

Can you guys provide any insight on this...

I have a bunch of autographed hockey cards, some classic baseball, as well as a few football cards that I am going to have as a framed project I'm working on right now.
I figure my initial submission will be 20-30 cards.

Any input is welcome!!

But I would go with Beckett, They seem to have a higher value for the graded stuff.

I dont have any graded cards so i am not an expert, maybe some of these other guys can help you out more.

Beckett is the only grader I use. They seem to have higher standards than PSA (and collectors know it). So BGS graded cards sell for more than PSA.

That's definitely the way to go- Beckett for modern stuff, and SGC or PSA for vintage cards. No need to hold off for more responses, either. Go to the beckett message boards and read a handful of posts on grading questions. It should become apparent pretty quickly.

That is a sweet card....With it being a 1 of 1 I dont think getting it graded will increase the value.But if you just wanted to get it authenticated and slabbed it is a good Idea.

Have a quick question for you guys, I just noticed on alot of my autographed cards, the ones that are 3 or 4 regular cards thick, that they are coming apart in the middle of the card. Is this happening to anyone else? Do they make card holders that squeeze the card tight so this doesn't occur? Any help would be great
