The Silver Centurion Armor was always my favorite Ironman Armor. I didn't even know they were going to make this figure until I found a thread on TNI. So I was thinking, cool now I don't have to buy another the Mark III figure to repaint into this armor. I found a seller on Ebay that had a few in stock on Saturday placed my order and now its here.

Now I don't have to buy another the Mark III figure to customize into this armor.

Back of the card. Hey there's War Machine (Stealth Operation Suit)

Silver Centurion group shot. Repainted Hulkbuster, Movie, and the Marvel Legends series 7 figure.

My Ironman Movie figure collection so far. War Machine, Silver Centurion, Mark III, and Mark II. Yes they're basically the same figure (same sculpt on all four figures), but different paint jobs and different accessories, so the Steatlh Armor Ironman figure shouldn't be too far behind; its in the Ironman Movie video game. Maybe in Wave 2.

What exactly is the Silver Centurion suit in the comics anyway? I heard it was just a suit with enhanced power.

Saw these at my Local TRU today, $9.99. Man, I love the Mark 01 Iron Man. Mark 03 Iron Man is pretty cool too, but seems a little thin and the leg joints are hella loose. I'm planning on giving Mark 01 Iron Man a wash to make him look more movie accurate.

Dang.... now I gotta go find one. The Red & Silver Armor has ALWAYS been my favorite, even when I was just a Pez Cabin Boy.
(Please see attatched.... My Grandpa painted it for me on a new deck when I was 13)
By the way, EXCELLENT job on the Hulk Buster Armor.... I wish I had thought of that. :)

These Iron Man figures are slick. I snagged the Mark 1 and Mark 3 figures tonight at work (TRU), and I love 'em both. The joints on my Mark 3 are tight, the paint does make the joints a bit smoother moving, but that's all. Very good figs. I love the detail on the Mark 1...I think Hasbro actually learned from screwing up the Spidey figs!

I just snagged one for twelve bucks off of ebay plus thirty bucks shipping. I don't go to Target enough to really justify the extra trips hoping to find one.
Besides, I doubt I would ever find one there since I'm not one of those people who hits up a bunch of stores first thing in the morning.

yeah, the Prototype is NOT as bad as some people make it out to be....sure,it doesn't have as much articulation as the Mark III,but it still has a lot....ball-jointed head (yes,it IS ball-jointed,but just doesn't have as far of a range of motion),ball-jointed shoulders,biceps,double-jointed elbows,forearms,hips,thighs,double-jointed knees,up-and-down and swivel ankles....comes with removable helmet, removable chest plate, removable gauntlets (and replacement human arms),and 3 removablr repulsor chest peices (blue and gold)...

yes,it does!
i honestly don't undersatnd the hate for it...it looks GREAT once all the armor is on,and has almost the exact same articulation as the Mark III (it's only missing torso, wrists, and the ball-jointed head doesn't move around as much as the Mark III)....plus it's just slightly bulkier than the skinny Mark III,and has cleaner paint apps too...

I hear ya dude!!! These things are going to sell like crazy once the movie hits. I read on wikipedia that the movie is now opening on Apirl 30 instead of early May, plus there was something on there about Hasbro making a World War Hulk Armor action figure for this line. I hope this is true, from the pics I've found of the armor (just comic book pics, no sign of this thing at Toyfair) it could be a very large figure.

they're afraid...they're STILL backlogged with a ton of Spider-Man 3 stuff that was "guaranteed" to sell due to the characters popularity and the movie coming out....they also got hosed on Ghost Rider last year too....so they're ordering VERY conservatively this year...because just cause a movie does well doesn't mean the toys will sell like gangbusters anymore...

It's a valid point.
Some of them may in fact be hard to find due to this scrutiny.
What happened with the movie Fantastic Four 2 and X2 figures being released in limited quantities towards the end of the run/series.
Some figures command high dollar online (not at some lo budget hack table at a local toy show.)
Doombot, Iceman and even the Aunt May in the loose fitting see-through housecoat.

also, from my sources, the case breakdown is like this:
1 X Mark I
1 X Mark II
4 X Mark III
3 X Prototype
1 X Iron Monger
.....so,in essence, 3 of the 5 are "rare" and hard to find....which certainly doesn't help the situation......

I know what you mean. I've been on the fence about the Iron Monger figure, since I saw the first pics of it back in December. Then I read on wikipedia that Jon favreau wanted the Iron Monger in the film, because he wanted Iron man to face off against a larger, more poweful version of himself, similar to the last battle in Robocop 2; that might explain the chain gun on Iron Monger's right arm. And that little bit of info finally made me break down and buy one.

It's a nice "base" figure that I am sure we will see more variations of like the Spider-man figures.
I was tempted to get another one, but I think duplicating anything will be more than redundant.
