Taken with my cell phone at the Ontario OH Walmart TWO days ago.
Not necessarily the 40+ EACH of Zetterberg and Verlander (Hey TMP, this is Mid-Ohio, THIS IS NOT DETROIT) and Johnny Bench (at least in the same state), but the lone Joey Harrington from NFL 6 smack dab in the middle!!
It's stuff like all of the above why the Walmarts around me will never carry full SP lines.

How much are those Zetterbergs going for?
Are they on crazy clearance yet? Maybe we can help you out by taking some off their hands if they are on the cheap.

Ya sure? Does the little green price sticker on the clam mean it's lower priced than what the channel strip says?
(I'm not a Wal-Mart guy so I am not familiar with their tags)

I haven't seen anything Mcfarlane let alone Sports Picks themselves in Walmart in a long time. Looks like the beginning of the end at your store as well.

I would buy that Joey Harrington :)
One of the Wallys here has new NFL and NBA, the other one just has 10+ Frank Gores. 49ers country apparnently leaks into Western Oregon.

Ontario OH is right next door to Mansfield. It's very common around here that if you're going to Ontario, you just call the entire dang area Mansfield. Mansfield is pretty much the halfway point between Cleveland and Columbus. In other words, a LOT closer to Cleveland than Cincy.
And a heckuva lot closer to Columbus than Detroit. Sending solid cases of Zetterberg to this area makes about as much sense as putting solid cases of Rick Nash in Detroit.
Solid cases of Zetterberg/Verlander/Bench have also been seen at the following Ohio Walmarts:
-Mansfield (yes, there's a Walmart in Mansfield proper as well as the Ontario one that the pic was taken at)
-Bucyrus (less than a half hour west of the Ontario store). Also seen at this location was solid cases of Ozzie Smith???
-Both Findlay Walmarts. One of the Findlay locations also had solid cases of Ozzie Smith.
-Norwalk (about 15 mins from Sandusky *and thereby Lake Erie*)
-Columbus: Only seen Zetterberg's though, no Bench or Verlander, but this one really takes the cake. Solid cases of a player from Columbus' most hated NHL team being sent TO Columbus?
Obviously, solid cases being shipped regionally has helped in a lot of places, but it's also led to solid cases being shipped to places where the figures will NEVER sell.
Realistically, this is what should have happened:
-Solid cases of Ozzie Smith should NEVER has even seen the Buckeye State. Period.
-The farthest south that solid Verlander/Zetterberg cases should have gotten to is Toledo, MAYBE Findlay
-Bench cases should never have gotten north of Columbus. Any farther north and you're just getting into Indians territory and Reds figs just don't move in the area

Here at our Walmart we have a similar problem with the 13 Hank Aarons, 2 Mickey Mantles, 2 Earl Campbells and one Dennis Eckersley taking up all the space. Granted, Mobile, AL is only a couple of hours away, but this is still LA! You have to get through MS to get to us!
There's only one row of 3 pegs dedicated to SPs, so they won't put out newer series until there's space.

I have met some great folks from Toledo at Wings games at The Joe, so I would agree with that assessment.
Well if the Zetterbergs get down to $2.50 like that crazy TRU sale last year, let me know. I'll take a bunch of your pegs for customs and stuff.
Enjoy!

Wal-Marts in Massachusetts = ZERO SPs

Mine had a bunch of Cooperstown (about 6 Mantles, 3 Aaron, and 1 each of Eck, Sandberg, and Cobb) and a lone Kendrell Bell. I have no idea where that one came from.

At least yours has a spot for them. 4 Walmarts within 20 minutes of me and none even plan on carrying them.

Interesting. You have a lone Joey Harrington show up at yours and in addition to the two peg rows full of Yanks Sheffs, a Panthers Delhomme, a K. Garnett and another Panther, I forget who showed up at mine. Makes me think there are cases and cases of previous NHL SPs collecting dust in the back room and distro center just waiting for some peg space.
Dragons are clogging the pegs as well. The only McF product to move so fast I was amazed besides NHL is HALO. My WM got 4 cases in and there are only 2 Master Chiefs and a Cortana left.

I actually saw some MLB Legends the other day at my Walmart, it was a first! But there were only 3 or 4 on the pegs. I wish they'd get more regular stuff from the NFL or MLB line. I don't really care for legends.

Seems like Walmart is at fault for ordering so many from their wharehouse.
The Walmart manager near me said that she never requested the 120 Roger Maris figures TMP sent directly to her last year. They just showed up. There were still 91 left before TMP agreed to give her a credit on them this year. How can they think they will sell 10 cases of one player at one store?

My closest Toys R Us is 9 miles away from the Rose Bowl, where Vince Young dashed local favorite USC's hopes of winning the national championship in 2006. Gee, maybe that's why the store's pegs are lined with dozens of the guy's figures....
