Yeah, I have kissed that 10 bucks goodbye. However on the in house pool, I have Gordon for the season, and my wife has Johnson for the season. Either of them wins, we win 70 bucks. I am +70 for the season so far.

The WIN logo is for WINFuel, I have seen him doing commercials for them now. Not too sure what that is.

The logos on the arm, I dont think that Volvo would be on there. Volvo is a Ford product so I dont know why Chevy would let him have one of those on his suit. I dont know about the other ones.

I will try to help some more later if I can.

They only seem to care about the larger sponsors, and not the secondary ones! Maybe they only paid for a few race deal with those! Weird that was blocked out though!

Come on down, you can stay in my guest bedroom ;) It's insane the amount of money people rent out their houses for when the race comes. One of my neighbors always goes on vacation the weekend of the race and rents his house out for $250 a night Friday through Sunday. It certainly pumps much needed money into our economy :D

Living in California every race is far unless its Fontana , Sonoma, Vegas, or Pheonix. So I know what you mean. Its expensive too, so we decided on Vegas, Fontana (Fall), and Sonoma this year and skipped Disney Land ....

Best way to get Bristol tickets is to just head down there with a pocket full of cash. My friends do it every year. They usually end up paying about 150 bucks a piece which really isn't so bad.

The only reason they scheduled a week off is because the FIRST Race in Mexico, and there are a lot of Cup guys going down there!!

Well it is better anyway. The truck drivers would have had to go from Cali all the way back to North Carolina to load out the Vegas stuff then all the way back out west in the time frame of a week. That would have been pretty hard to do. Most of the bigger teams would probably just get another Hailer just for that week.

Like it says on my For Sale list, please feel free to ask me about "instant collections" for specific drivers. Cars, transporters, cards, loose stuff, MOC stuff, you name it. I DO ask that you refrain from asking about these drivers, as I just don't have enough of these specific drivers to make up collections for:
-Jeff Gordon (cmon guys, you know me by now, like I would have THAT much Gordon stuff around? lol)
-Jimmie Johnson (ditto)
-Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr. (sorry sremmaz, Leafsfan, and Posse!)
-Tony Stewart (mom's fave driver)

Nascar should have made the 29 car run the entire race with their fuel cell blocked off. That would have been a great punishment. The car could only hold 4 gallons of gas the entire race. Saves the trouble of taking away points, they would lose those pitting every few laps.

Well Jr. sucked, but it was in Las Vegas so no surprise there. I'm proud of Harvick fighting up through the field twice and netting a top 5 :D. Look at the standings: Bliss is 12th, Petty is 16th, Jr is 27th and Kenseth is 28th :eek:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Jimmie Johnson (http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/nextel/drivers/213/) lost the Nextel Cup points lead and his crew chief was suspended Tuesday when NASCAR handed out several penalties for violations at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Instead of holding a 15-point lead after his victory Sunday in the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400, Johnson is now second, 10 points behind series champion Kurt Busch (http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/nextel/drivers/156/).

Johnson's crew chief, Chad Knaus, was suspended for two weeks and fined $35,000 when the race-winning car failed to meet the minimum height requirement in the post-race inspection.

Todd Berrier was suspended for four weeks and fined $25,000 for rigging Harvick's fuel tank to appear full when it actually wasn't during qualifying.

Hendrick and Childress said they plan to appeal.

``I'm not disputing NASCAR's right to levy sanctions,'' Hendrick said in a statement. ``As a team owner, I understand why these standards are in place and have always taken pride in the fact that our organization has kept a very clean record.

``In this particular instance, though, we disagree with the severity of NASCAR's stance and plan to appeal their decision. I want to make it clear that we in no way intentionally ignored guidelines, and I'm certain everyone understands that.''

Childress echoed his fellow team owner.

``I understand NASCAR's reasons for imposing a penalty,'' he said. ``However, I think the penalty they have given us is out of line, so we have decided to appeal their ruling.''

Berrier's suspension was severe because he admitted intentionally rigging the 22-gallon tank to appear full when it had just five gallons of gas in it -- thereby allowing the car to go faster.

The team was caught because Harvick qualified fourth. If he had been outside of the top five, his car might not have been checked following his run.

And if NASCAR officials weren't already angry, their patience was tested when Berrier showed little remorse after being caught.

``If I had to do it again, I'd still play it to try to get away with it, because I know how I got caught,'' he told NASCAR.com.

None of the crew chiefs were immediately available for comment. But earlier Tuesday, Johnson insisted his team's error was unintentional and blamed the car's shift in height on a bolt that loosened over the 400-mile race.

``I have 100 percent trust and confidence in Chad that he is going to do everything within the rules,'' Johnson said.

Hunter said intent was not a factor in the suspensions.

``NASCAR doesn't feel it is fair to the teams who do meet all of the post-race requirements to continue to have people who are pushing it to the limit and then through miscalculations or whatever on their part, fail inspection,'' he said. ``These rules are black and white and we bend over backward if a car has been in a wreck, been hit, to give them the benefit of the doubt. ``This is just unacceptable. So maybe the crew chiefs being at home will help remedy this issue.'' None of the suspended crew chiefs will be permitted to communicate with their race teams via cell phone or radio during the time they are suspended, Hunter said.

A penalty of 25 driver points dropped Jimmie Johnson — the race winner at Las Vegas — back to second place (500 points) in the standings, 10 behind reigning series champion Kurt Busch (510). Chad Knaus, Johnson's crew chief, has been suspended from competition for the next two races and fined $35,000; Jeff Gordon, the #48 car owner, has been penalized 25 owner points.

#29 Team: Todd Berrier, crew chief for the #29 Chevrolet driven by Kevin Harvick, has been suspended for the next four races and fined $25,000. Those penalties resulted from the #29 having an unapproved fuel filler and unapproved fuel cell vent. The car was in violation of Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q. The violation was found during post-qualifying inspection. In addition to Berrier's penalties, Harvick has been penalized 25 driver championship points, dropping him from eighth to 10th in the driver standings, while car owner Richard Childress loses 25 car owner championship points.

#5 Team: Alan Gustafson, crew chief for the #5 Chevrolet driven by Kyle Busch, has been suspended for two races and fined $25,000, due to the car's quarter-panel heights being too high in post-race inspection — also violations of Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q. Busch has been assessed 25 driver points, dropping him from 18th to 22nd in the standings; car owner Rick Hendrick loses 25 owner points.

In addition:
Harold Holly, crew chief for the #32 Chevrolet driven by Bobby Hamilton Jr., was fined $5,000 because of the #32 having an unapproved deck lid, a violation of Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q that was determined during opening-day inspection.

John Latchford, crew chief for the #89 Dodge driven by Morgan Shepherd, was fined $1,000 because of an unapproved fire suppression agent found during opening-day inspection. That also violated Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q.

Larry Carter, crew chief for the #2 Dodge driven by Rusty Wallace, was fined $1,000. During opening-day inspection, the car's shoulder harness did not have a date tag displayed, a violation of Sections 17.2-C (and 12-4-A)


What I really want to know is how being too low in post race inspection, warrants a penalty for actions detrimental to stock car racing. That is the samething they hit Jr with for saying the s word last year. I hate that they just fling that rule around as they please. It is like if they dont like something you do they throw a penalty at you under that rule.

I am gonna try to save up some money to go to the Bristol night race. I have a buddy that gets tickets, and he may be able to hook me up with 2 (not cheap). I know for certain that I am going ot the fall race at Martinsville, and possibly the fall race at Charlotte.

Would love to go to Bristol someday.. All I know is I moved to the middle of the freaking Cornfields and am within 4-5hrs of quite a few tracks - so I better go to a few races this year.

Probably definitely Michigan or chicagoland and maybe the yard. If Jason will go - then hopefully Charlotte

A lot of the mystique around Bristol and the night race is the atmosphere more than the race really. I have never been to the race, but have gone down to party. Imagine a redneck Mardi Gras. It is one massive party. Yes you can walk around with beads down there, and get flashed. It is crazy. My parents used to go to the night race every year. I love watching the races, as it is just a fun race, and you can watch guys do things they normally wouldn't do. I am seriously considering going down this year. You can get tickets fairly easy, you just pay out the butt for them. Even if I don't make it in the race, you can just find a party outside. Yes people bring there big screen tvs on there campers, with there satellite system and watch the race outside.

Was always a F1 fan up to a few years back when I got to go to the inaugural Chicagoland race. I was hooked! Since then I have bounced around driver favorites but when The National Guard started sponsoring a car I was pretty well set. The Guard has been my life for 21 years so it was kind of a no-brainer to pick up on the team. Lucky for me my man Biffle has been tearing it up since Lil E's crew changed colors and came over to the winning team!
