Seeing that makes me think: "GO GO POWER RANGERS!!!!"
"Exclusive Type: other
Game Station UK / Game Australia"
What the? :(

I wonder if they sell enough figures in the UK/Australia for that exclusive to make sense. It just seems like it'll inconvenience more people than it helps.

If McF doesn't also release the figs through the online store for anyone to purchase, the asston of exclusives seems pretty lame. The variants of Spartan armors and colors are obviously very popular, to limit them so terribly to fans is rather weak.

Well let's be honest, the international boardies got the shaft bigtime on Series 2 so I look at it as throwing them a bone and making the US/CA crowd have to scramble a bit for once

..I know it sucks for them. It just seems like non-US exclusives hurt the majority for the benefit of a few.

If by challenge, you mean getting killed by shipping and eBay costs.. then yes.. It challenges my wallet.

There's about 15 figures in total, I've imported, or I'll need to import, to complete this line.....so a couple of other figures that'll be much easier for me to track down is a nice gesture. :D

you've got a resource here that may help you limit your costs... they're called international boardies. The same ones that paid out the nose to get the WM figures ;)

Yeah, I know it has to suck for you guys. If I'm mad about having a couple figures that I likely will have to pay scalpers for.. I can't imagine being in your situation.

it's all about networking, my friend. trust me on this. I've been able to get stuff from Japan and other Asian markets for prices way below eBay prices by finding the right people and making deals for things they need that are easy to find here.

ACK....that is the same company that got the Red MC Statue. Damn, I'm gonna have to use my MLG and see if I can get an oversea's player to hook me up. I thought Series 2 was gonna be hell with the Pink Canadian MC. Damn you Todd....you've won this round...

Well as I live in the U.K that's actually gonna be the easiest figure for me to find. :D There's a local GameStation about 2 miles from where I live, and dozens upon dozens across the country. Basically guys there are two main chains of video game speciality (And video game related products such as Action Figures, T-Shirts, etc, etc, etc) stores here in the U.K, Game and GameStation, but recently Game bought GameStation, so they belong to the same people now. So I guess that's kind of like GameStop and EB Games in the U.S correct?
Maybe I should pick up a few of the Orange Hayabusas for trades against some of the U.S exclusives here on the Spawn board?

I've never even heard of some of these exclusive retailers where I live... and some that I do know don't carry them here, like EB games (Gamestop) Canada.
I count:
EOD Steel - Gamestop
Mark VI Silver - Worldwide
ODST Pale - Entertainment Earth
Hayabusa Orange - Game Station UK / Game Australia
Rogue Gold - Transworld
Scout Crimson - Diamond Distributors
EVA Pink - D&R lineup
CQB Violet - BBTS
All those I'll need to order online or get someone to sell me. I ordered the violet CQB and pale ODST already. The pink EVA I'll order once D&R sets up their online store.
What is Transworld? And what is Diamond Distributors?
And then the UK/Australia and worldwide one...

My favorite is probably the Gold Rogue Spartan. I absoultely LOVE the helmet design. Not too crazy about the Hyabusa armor, though.

My favorite exclusives are....
CQB Violet - BBTS (already pre-ordered)
EVA Cyan - Walmart (thank god I got one down the road from me!)
Series 3 is a beautiful set! I think the international exclusive Silver Mark VI will probably be the hardest and most expensive to get! I guess I better start saving up my cash the next few months! Happy hunting everyone!;)
The only one i will be able to get is the orange Hayabusa, teh UK exclusive

If anyone wants to exchange one of the American exclusives for an Orange Hayabusa, let me know and I'll see what I can do. :) It's gonna be tough for me to get hold of most of Series 3, but the GameStation exclusive will be pretty easy (Gonna put in a pre-order soon). I'm in for quite a hunt. :D

Transworld is FYE/Suncoast
Diamond Distributors is the same Diamond that handles comic books and figures for comic shops and some other stores. So this is likely a comic shop type specialty deal.

Series 1 exclusives was fine. Series 2 & 3 in my opinion is just so overwhelming. I know myself have better things to do then keep going to TRU/WM/Gamestop to hunt some of these. Then you got to worry about the Transworld/D&R along with finding that non usa/canada one. I think once series 2 is done i will buy them off people not stores unless i see them.

Different armor for one. Different weapons for another. Another reason you just got to collect them all! I did not ever say i do keep each figure moc. I only open the extras i buy which is insane amount for customs. But i will always keep 1 sealed. Maybe keep 2 good painted/less defects one to open & one moc. I think series 1 spending about 600 on it i will not do for other series. Got them 9.99 each shipped 90 percent of what i bought. But damn 600?!??!?! But yeah i need to get atleast 3 each different type of figure to do customs. All about the accessories, weapons, armor baby! Kids want to use pc got to go.

I'm not happy about the first orange Spartan being a foreign exclusive AT ALL. They better not pull some crap where ALL orange Spartans are international exclusives, in the way the Blue Spartans all go to Wal-Mart...

kill the exclusives and you kill some of the hype from the collector's market and that's bad for business. retailers obviously want exclusive colors and are willing to pay to get them. that's a good thing. the armor permutations lend towards being store exclusives since there's so many options.
there's forced rarity regardless of whether there's store exclusives or not. no exclusives means that we'd probably get a lot less product now and we'd also have a whole other set of problems to whine about

And what is FYE/Suncoast? :p
they're mall-based stores run by Transworld
FYE is thier flagship store and it sells movies, CD's and some of them have some decent collectibles and manga sections. Most Sam Goody locations have either been converted into FYE's or they've closed.
Suncoast is thier second largest branded store and if you can find one they usually have fairly nice collectibles sections. They specialize in movies, posters, and all kinds of SWAG like t-shirts, life-size standees and some prop replicas. They used to be THE place to find McF and NECA figures before MediaPlay went out of business and they went through about 4 rounds of restructuring before Transworld bought them and Sam Goody.
Check out their websites for locations, however they don't sell figures on thier site at this time.

As far as the international exclusives go, I guess I'll be picking up a few extra of the Transworld & Wal-Mart exclusives for trade material. Trading internationally is one of the BEST ways to obtain overseas exclusives. I used to do it all the time with Star Wars figures. You network and meet new people!

Yea, I bought 2 whole sets of series 1, and i'll be trying to do the same with series 2 & 3 but this makes it a little harder to do. If someone who can get the Silver & Orange spartans wants to trade for any US exclusives It would help me alot and I'll spend the time to get which ever 2 they want. any takers let me know :)
