If I wanted any McF HALO fig's I would have to pay $17.99 + 12% tax...
The 12" Ironman movie fig is only $7 more.... ($24.99)...

Yeah I noticed that too. Zellers charges too much for McFarlane figures. McFarlane figures at Wal-Mart is 12.99 Canadian. Zellers is 17.99. That is a huge difference!

Yup, I know-That's the new pricing for most McF figs at Zellers. They still have Series 1 Corpse Bride figs at mine for $17.99.It literally takes years sometimes for them to mark stuff down. It's disgusting.

ould it have been worth your while to wait until all the furor of these figures has died down and gotten a "lot" from e-bay & had them shippped to you?...
tends to be less costly to wait it out a bit.

Well, I got my first 2 off ebay for $20.00, plus shipping, which wasnt bad atll all really, and then I just oculdnt pass 'em up when I seen 'em at Zellers, although they never had a price tag so the first time I bought one I was just kinda stared at the price they rung in

its because zellers doesn't buy their figures in wholesale from mcfarlane, they buy from a toy wholesaler like kruegers.

You can do that when you live in a big enuff city that has a Wally getting the Halo stuff....
my local Wally get nothing but NHL crap.

I hear ya- but then you kinda figure pricing would alter when for US/Can dollar parity....
it used to be Wally had stuff for $11.92 & Zellers was $12.99.... now it's a $4 difference.
Like you said- maybe the middle-man is making more $ .....& laffing

Yah, at my local Zs there have been halo figures on and off.. at $18 people seem reluctant to buy them. As for the vehicles, at $18 NOBODY is buying them.. can't wait til they are on clearance and there is a half off clearance stuff sale!
When I was home for Christmas, I wanted to pick up the Simpsons Movie figs, but they were $18 a piece, so I said forget that. Luckily the local comic/collectibles stores were having their annual Boxing day sales, so I got 'em all for a decent price.

Zellers 12" Ironman will be on for $19.99...
The only thing keeping me from him is him not coming with a arm canon...
@ $20 I could say- what the het- & customize an arm canon.

I know this is an old thread but yesterday I saw a Movie Master Joker at Zellers, not the crapy looking one they released here that looks like a tooned down version, but the real "scary" deal (all be it multiligual packaging). The problem was that the SKU was showing that it was not on file and the dumb Zellers toy associate was telling me that they were probably more expensive than the other $11.99 dark knight figures because it came with a "card". I pointed out that they were all the same 6" figures. Nevertheless I was not allowed to buy it until they registered the SKU.
I got a call this morning and they registered the SKU at $24.99. What the hell? Zellers is pulling prices out of their butts? $17.99 for halo figures, $24.99 for MM Batman figures. Zellers is turning a blind eye on their toy department. I'd get them to price match but unfortunately the MM Batman figures aren't around anywhere else here.
