Do not act like this guy....

So I am getting off of my lunch break last night and my manager goes to me and tells me of how there was this guy and three girls who she told to leave the store because they were wrecking stuff in the store. When they were told to leave the guy gave her attitude and told her "Im shopping for stuff for mother's day" and just decides to go and sit on patio furnature.

So I was asked to tell him to leave because I look intimidating.

Now this guy didnt look like he was trying stuff out to buy for his mother. He definately looked like he was sitting there to be immature after he was told to leave. So I told him he had to leave and he gave me an attitude right away. When he asked why I told him what I was told he did and he gave the "you just lost a sale" line. I just shrugged it off which didnt sit well with him(because I was holding back big time). So he responded by cursing at me, trying to get in my face(which I made sure to look unimpressed), and calling me a "horrible person" who "Doesn't know how to deal with people".

So he asks me if I was a manager. I said no and he said he wanted to speak to a manager and I called the managers on that night to meet him at the service desk. He was berating them so the managers(one of whom is the type who is a mother who doesnt take being berated with a smile) and they told him to leave and said "Well if you give someone attitude you get it back" lol.

So I find out that after the guy and his harem leave they stayed in the bed of his pick up yelling at employees who were walking out of the employee entrance until security was called to make sure he left(which he did).

So please if you go to a store and have to deal with a similar situation please do not act like a child.

And before anyone asks I dont normally act like I did. The main reason I was as firm as I was with telling him to leave was because he had his chance to act like an adult and he decided to act immature. Other-wise Id have been a ton nicer.

Also it was one report from him vs tons of positive reports about me from customers.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, people like that don't have anything else better going on in their lives anyway.

I also love being in the customer service/retail industry.

Yeah, I've been in retail for 4 years and I've run into people like this before, given my size however I usually don't get as much flak, and I can typically turn people the other way most of the time, people like this though are just ridiculous and cannot be defused.

lol oh Im not worrying at all. I won't get in any trouble for it because it was clear he was being immature and combative. And the fact that it was a situation I was kinda asked by my manager to get into.

I've been in customer serivce for 7 years (since I was 15), and I've gotten pretty good at dealing with people.

I'm 5'9" (on a good day), so size is not really something I can use to my advantage. I have, however, gotten really good at being sarcastic. That at least makes me feel a little better.

People like that deserve to be hit. Right up side the head. Repeatedly. These punks know they can lip off all day because you really can't do anything to them anymore.
