if the new packaging improved not only the way the figures looked in the package, but out of package as well

The only example I can give is for the hockey figures, behind the figure can be made to look like boards with glass,fans behind the glass
i think that has potential, it would look pretty good in package and openers could keep the card and place it behind the figure

what do you guys think?
part of me sees it looking very messy, the other part thinks it has a lot of potential

TMP got rid of nets due to cost and this new packaging move is about money so don't hold your breath for nets.

How many figures are really going to take advantage of this new taller packaging? In NFL Legends, just Joe Montana. No one in the regurlar NFL series will need the larger packaging and very figures in the pas have had height issues.

I guess it will be better for NBA figs (see Dwight Howard), but will any other sport use the gian tall package? It seems like they could have gone with a smaller design given how few figures will use it. Guess 2009 figures will be doing a lot more "full extension".

i asked mark this same question and he said they needed the cardboard flap for the nfl logo and such,otherwise they would have to use too many stickers on the front of the clamshell,i said so what? clutter away,plus if you look at the current clam it looks okay with the logo where it is.maybe they'll tweak the design like they did before they got to the current size when they realize the cardboard flaps are ugly,stupid and more prone to damage.

put the logo on the back of the figure because you know its just going to be a plain backround. imo they could make the cardboard and not take to much away from leaving them sealed up

wasnt one of the reasons for the smaller packaging consistency with the size and that was also a reason the goalies couldn't be in their own packaging? lol

i just remembered that, but now we get new packaging in two specific sizes?

id say a card, or a picture of the goalie you can cut out...and it has stats on the back of it....kinda like GI JOE cards....know what i mean? kinda like regular cards, but bigger and maybe with a fake auto on it? this way when you open the figure you have a card to cut out from the cardboard backing and can display it like that
