Whats goin on with the Tony/Phil Esposito figures??

Has anyone else noticed this trend?

The last couple Tony Esposito figures on Ebay have gone for $46, $50, $66 :eek:

while the Phil Espo Rangers chase has gone for $17, $10.50, $9.99 :confused:

Why the rise for one and decline for the other?

Interesting. Guessing the T. Espo's are harder to come by. Not sure if that makes much sense but what else can It be.

Tony Espo's have always been pretty high. I sold one for 50 that was a opener. I almost **** myself.

I noticed that a couple weeks ago....I remember when the Rangers Phil was getting up to $50 plus and I saw one finish last week at $10.99, I was amazed.
Only thing I could think is when new shipments of that series was sent to the dollar stores or whatever retailer was carrying them, way after the original release, made them pretty available for anyone looking or sheer popularity (I should say unpopularity).
It's a nice fig, I like it.

There was tonnes of Tony Esposito figs sitting around here for quite some time when that Legends series came out, it's not as if they were flying off the shelves!!

I guess I should have bought a bunch of extras and turned a pretty profit on them!

Naaaa, can't be bothered, too much hassle with all the shipping and EBay fees and such. Not worth my time.

Hey Riz............yeah i remember the Rangers Phil fetching some nice bucks also. I was surprised to see it was for so little lately. Although it works out good for me since i still need the Phil for my collection , while i have a Tony on my shelves, sitting next to Gerry Cheevers and Johnny Bower. :)

Wow two just went for a BIN of $49.99 and one for $59,99. They were hard to find out here in the Chicago area when they came out because I don't think they sent straight cases of them to stores. Must be 'born again' Hawks fans in Chicago driving up the price.

no unfortunately they didn't send solid pack cases to stores in the area when released

Tony has been a lot more visable/active in the area as of late ... on his road tour with Hull pimping their swill ... I don't know that they are allowing people to get anything else signed at these events other than the bottles.... unfortunately as I would love to have an Espo base signed .... one of the best looking SPs to date by far

How isnt worth your time to pack up a box and mail it? To buy them for 10 bucks and sell them for 50-80 it's not worth it? you must be soft man (you are a leafs fan so thats 1 reason) :)
