Marmit Alien Statue. Type A "Attack" 13", released in 1999, only 250 or so made.

Love this statue. Got it this last weekend. N***'s will be good, but this is still the best in my mind.

Pics without, then with flash

Well, the price has varied over the years. I think it was around $200-300 when it first came out. A few years ago, there was a big craze for these (Marmit also released slighty changed versions of both the A and B Type in 2004 for the anniversary). The 99's have always been more rare and worth more. Seen some go for $600-800. B Types all the way up to 2 grand. The 99 B Type is regarding by a lot of alien collectors to be one of the rarest grails.

I got this A Type for around list, not that big of a demand for it anymore with SS, Cinamaquette, HT, etc all releasing statues and figures.

Here's some pics of the super rare 99 B Type
I had one back in the day. Sold it for a lot of money when I got out off collecting for a bit.

I know this is sacrilege to some of the old diehard collectors, but I've always like the dynamic pose of the A Type better.
The poses are taken from pics of The Book Of Alien. A Type when it's about to kill Brett, B Type from a concept pic. Some people believe that it's stoops after landing from the chains before attacking Brett in the same scene. Also, it's quickly shown in the same type of pose when Ripley's stumbles upon it near the end. If you're a big alien fan, that book is excellent.

Agreed. This pose looks more like "Ohh, my tummy hurts . . ." ;)

Here's some pics of the re-issued 2004 Type A version. The sculpts were changed quite a bit, these were put out for the 25th anniversary of the movie. Still pretty rare, but much more common than the 99s.

They really messed up the sculpt IMO. Chagned the head sculpt, the dome, the pose, and the paint. And the domes never really fit very well.
I had one of these before I got my 99.

Here's a comparison shot by one of the collectors from the hive forum.

The statues come with the inner jaw out like that, mine's out, might do a little customizing to shorten it in the mouth or just leave it out altogether.

The Alien was most definetly stooping behind Brett before it killed him...and don,t let any idiot tell you otherwise...cause damn i,ve met a few.

Congratulations Brian...A true 'grail'. Now try and locate the 2ft vinyl kit of Gigers Alien by Marmit.
Its nothing short of amazing... you will be impressed. :)

Hey Bio. Nice to see you (read from you) again.

I had an A before, sold it when I got out of collecting, and been kicking myself for it ever since. Glad I could get another. It's still the best alien collectible imo. Even better than that spendy cinemaquette. We've been over that before, you and I agree on the pose...

Not that big of a damand for marmits these days BIo, Walt tried selling his 99 B on the church 2 or 3 times, no buyers.

Still looking for the 24: kit, looks amazing.

Yes i remember you selling that A Type...i was most
dissapointed ;)...nice to see you still have a soft spot
for the Marmz.
Still got my B...its a statue (and design) i never tire
of..And yes,do all you can to source 'The Big Chap'
2ft kit by Marmit...shes the proverbial 'mutts nuts'
Detail and pose are superb.

You take care bro. :)
