Okay - Once I got over of the reduction of size, these are incredible figures. The Zodiacs are small, but the designs and sculpts are great. I like them and I hope the series continues. I think all 12 displayed together will be really cool. Am I hating the size reduction - yes, but, overall, I love McFarlanes inhouse lines and these are no exceptions.

Bladehunters - I only bought Tyr and the Ogre. They did not have the boxset, but intend on getting it as well. - they are awesome. Tyr is the best thing released this year IMO - his chin is fine (there were threads dedicated to this topic). I am also going to get the Dragon and the Basilisk though I swore I would curb my purchasing of Dragons as I have so many, but the final products are really nice looking. Again, I miss the larger figures loaded with accessories, but hard times....

I do like them but man, the size sucks. I know, they gotta do what they gotta do, but I ordered a few from kim and picked up a Thamus figure that was on sale. Side by side, he is 2x bigger nearly than the Ogre. And that sucks.

They are too small. I saw them in stores, I didn't buy any. I guess I wasn't that impressed with them.

I agree with you guys, they are kick-arse figures, but the size sucks. Size isn't really a peeve with me, it's just kind of dissapointing. Thank goodness that the great detail McFarlane put into them makes up for it. They are great figures IMO.

I'm ok with the size, I just hope to god they keep the size of the Zodiacs consistent for all three lines.

The last thing we need is one small line and then two big lines.

I was turned off to both these lines once I got a look at the final products. The reduced size alone was enough to kill a great deal of my enthusiasm, and then the paints/sculpts/wildly-varying scales, killed the rest. To me, Tyr's neck looks like it's trying to eat his head, and the Ogre looks laughably puny next to him.

I really did try to like these lines, to be excited about them, even after many of the negative qualities came into light. I just couldn't lie to myself, however, and was really let down by the final outcome.

To anyone who does like these figures: More power to you. If someone can get some enjoyment out of these lines, good for them. I wish I could join the merriment.

I was really put off when I first opened them (atleast the Zodiacs). The size, lack of accessories, etc...but the longer they stood on my shelf, the cooler they became. I actually like Gemini the best!

The Ogre is small, so I am calling it a Troll. I have the original Ogre from the dark ages line. He is one of my all time favorite figures. Tyr really is not that small. He is really cool sans the dragon skull...

I buy what I like. I don't give a **** if a figure isn't as long as my [deleted].

That Basilisk is the ****ing sexiest thing ever. Eat your ****ing heart out every other single McF toy ever.

We got the Zodiacs in at work, and my God, they're just awful due to the size. Cancer looked like a midgit...and for $13? Ouch. I did buy Tauros, he seemed to have the most value, and even I'm disappointed with how small he is...and how much I paid. Sigh, I hope things don't continue on in this fashion...

If McF had always been at this scale, not one of you [deleted] would be complaining.

Seriously. The sculpt is bad because of the scale?

If it was always this scale, I might not've bought alot of the things I did (y'know, sans the dragons).

But yes, it hurts the sculpt to me, it hurts the value most of all.

Saw them at Toys R Us. The Zodiac all look cool but Tyr is the only Blade Hunter that I thought was any good.

Maybe it is actually a good thing that the zodiacs are small. After all, there will be 12 of them, and maybe the size has to do with the 'Display Volume'.. Much easier to display them all together without needing a huge shelf..
Maybe that was the thought behind the Halo as well? For army builders or completionists it might be better/easier to have them smaller.. Can you imagine the space they would have taken with a complete run of series 1, 2, and 3?

Its even funny the label says: some assembly needed. So I take a look and see.... you need to peg the feet to a piece of tinnyyyy plastic. :p

I had the Draako boxset pre-ordered from Kim and I actually like it more now that I have it my hands..though as I mentioned before I had to cover up that one larger set of eyes...looks MUCH better now...I'll try to get a pic up eventually...most who looked at him couldn't even tell there had been another set of eyeballs there in the first place..lol I still plan to give some gold chains and jewelry as well. ;)

I'll prob go out hunting the Eternal and Basilisk this weekend...my local Spencers never called me at all...

No one said the sculpt is bad.

They don't fit in with the rest of our ****ing toys. That's the problem.

It better not, as series 2 is mostly human, and therefore should fit in with the rest of my humans.

I passed on series 1 cause they are tiny. I want series 2, all of them, so don't make me pass again. If they ever come out. Joe told me we'd see photos in February. Still waiting.

Agreed 100%. I want that cape. The only thing that bummed me out with the Ogre was that the last ogre they did back in spawn 11 is almost three times as large, comes with a little deamon riding on him and has two huge weapons. As far as looks go, he's awsome. Great sculpt and paint. He's just a little guy though and an ogre should be huge. Not shorter than all Mcfarlane's female figures. That being said, I do own him and think he's really cool looking.

Agreed, that kind of balanced him out I thought.

gone were the days that we can get great articulation, great sculpt and decent size all in one package at 9.99 a pop

I was pretty much against the cape..couldn't see why a Dragon needed one..they don't get cold, it would have been torn or caught fire in a fight...so it's kind of a disadvantage...I'm also betting it wouldn't stick out like in the proto for long...it would sag and maybe pull him backwards as well.
