How are you dealing with sealed battery toys?
I have several toys in sealed boxes and cards that have batteries. I know if I don't open them eventually the batteries will corrode inside the toy....which ruins it. Should I rip all these pieces out? I have a huge collection.....lotta work.

Well, I only have one sealed battery toy and thats my 25th Anniversary G.I.Joe set (Cobra edition) which was purchased about a week ago. Other than that, none of my other toys have batteries. If the battery corrodes inside the toy, it's not going to cause that much damage, is it?
Man, I love the Guillotine on your toy page!

Yes, it will...just pulled a few old GI Joes toys out of storage thinking I could Ebay them...the corrosion looked alot like the crude on the bottom of ships that have been to sea too long.... crusty rust all over wherever it leaked, and melted plastic at the endges of the crusty stuff... :(

I have a few MIP figures with light-up LEDs or sound chips, and I just leave them alone. The way I see it (yes, I'm paranoid), if you open the package to remove something, the figure isn't really mint in package anymore. Since the battery is in a little tray or plastic, I don't think there will be much damage if it corrodes anyway.
