while it is bad, why were their private phone calls released to the public. Someone in that system is about to get sued.

I'm sure the media paid a handsome fee to a security official to have them leaked...it's shameful but the attempt here is to humiliate the kid.

The phone calls are open to the Freedom of Information Act. You or I could just walk up and ask for them and they would be required to provide them to us. No one was paid for them and it even says on the phone calls they are being recorded.

Freedom of Information Act? This is news to me and quite surprising to hear that city officials would allow such a thing to occur.
So you mean to tell me if a lawyer and the defendant have a similar conversation during visitation that this could be requested by me?

No attorney would allow themselves to be taped knowing this could happen. They would meet face to face.

Ah...ok. Well, I had no idea this act allowed such recordings to air public. You figured he would have that conversation in private since they are allowed one visitor a day.
I wonder if he is even aware that his convos are playing in the public...

Hopefully by now his atorney has gotten to him and told him to clam up. He really isn't helping his case.

This is a disaster. I feel bad for Hulk Hogan, hes not a bad guy. Hulk's fame has made his family greedy and idiotic. It was unavoidable, especially with a reality show. Now Nick wants to cash in on this whole tragedy with a new reality show, he wants to make more money while his friend (the zombie) sits in his hospital bed. Wow ....just Wow. I would be going psychotic if I were the victim's family right now.

No kidding...I think your only option is to show some remorse in this case, despite how you feel. Considering this is behind closed doors, only reveals his true nature...and it ain't good.

Conversations between the lawyer and inmate are an exception. There's even a sign next to the prison phone stating that conversations are monitored.
Being placed in solitary confinement was for Nick's protection since he's a minor. If Nick wants to be placed in the general prison population, then the judge should grant it.

I figured the convos would be monitored internally...but not released to the public upon request.
As for the confinement issue, I guess one would assume he would be someone's beeyuch in a matter of seconds considering his age but then again...maybe they would cut him some slack for being "Hulk Hogan's son". That's a gamble that he may not want to take...socializing vs. solitary confinement.

That's probably what the Hogan family thought.
Nick's 24-year-old friend is also responsible if you ask me. Why would a 24-year-old adult want to hang out with a minor who's still in high school? It's no mystery who Nick got his alcohol from. It's not like Nick ran over an innocent pedestrian.

Im still having trouble laying blame for the "victim" at Nick Hogan's feet.
When you willingly get into the car of a known speeder/stree-racr, who is drunk (possibly supplying the alcohol), and then dont wear a steatbelt... your are not a victim, you are a moron.
Darwinism at its finest.
Amen.
Also, in regards to him wanting to make money. I'm sure he has a pretty heft settlement to pay.

Arcade emulator on a modded regular Xbox. I keep looking for a cheap Wrestlefest arcade machine, but the shipping is a killer.

It's pretty cool actually. You can put in any regular Xbox game and burn it to the harddrive. I had a 250 GB harddrive installed and I have about 90 Xbox games on it. The games load much faster from the harddrive than they would if you were using the actual disc. Then I have emulators for each system plus all of the old arcade games. It also acts as a media center and you can play DVDs from any region. It even has a switch on the bottom to turn the mod chip off and it will act like a regular Xbox.
It was expensive when I got it, but you can probably find a cheap one now. Some people advertise them on ebay as "special" Xboxes so that the auctions don't get removed.

I'm just saying that to begin with, Hogan is not a horrible person, but now he has to manage a spoiled celebrity family. I can tell just from watching his show that Linda Hogan is a royal stuck up, pain in the ass. It's no wonder that he is divorcing her. And it's no surprise that Nick Hogan is a selfish brat. Stupid Nick had it all, he just had to be smart and behave himself. What a dumbass.

Here's an excerpt from one of those taped conversations:
Hulk Hogan: "Well, I don't know what type of person John was, or what he did to get himself in this situation, I know he was pretty aggressive and he used to yell at people and he used to do stuff, but for some reason God layed some heavy s#%t on that kid, man. I don't know what he was into."
So Nick was drag racing, driving drunk, and turns his friend into a vegetable. And Hulk is somehow trying to blame his friend's bad karma?

John is a 24-year-old adult, and he shouldn't have gotten into a souped-up car with a drunk drag racing minor to begin with. Even if someone is stupid enough to get into that car, then he should at least put his seatbelt on. John layed some of that heavy s#%t on himself. Both Nick and John are responsible.

I agree that both parties are responsible, thats why I sympathize with the Hulkster. But I guarantee that Nick Hogan will buy himself a new souped up car as soon as he gets out of prison, and go right back to drag racing.

Nick also lost his license for the next 3 years. Here's what he got:
8 months in jail
5 years of probation
3 years without license
