Nice pick by the Rangers there since Salty is no doubt going to be the catcher of the future for the Rangers they needed a solid 1B replacement.

With their track record of drafting pitchers, I hear the Orioles have already scheduled Matusz for major arm surgery. At least they're being proactive.

No doubt? Dont be too surprised if he gets moved to first possibly. Taylor Teagarden and Max Ramirez are both doing extremely well in the Rangers farm system.

Nice of the Padres to pick a 1st baseman that can't play anywhere else and it's the only position that is solid. Dumb arces

huh i wonder why the mets took a shortstop first. i can definately think of a couple other positions we could use a stud prospect at.

True but you figure it will take him at least 2 or 3 years in the minors to make it to the big club and by that time Gonzalez's contract will be up and it's very unlikely the Padres are going to be able to pay him that huge payday he has coming.

Brett Lawrie at 16! That makes him the highest-drafted position player from BC.
His sister has nice boobs too.
