Has anyone heard anything about the pulling of the batman movie masters lines as well as the gorilla grodd series in both walmart, toys r us and Target? A spokesman for mattel stated through figures.com that there is no recall on the figures, but that the stores are pulling them on their own. Personally I do not understand the jargon they are speaking so I do not know what has happened to these lines. I spoke to the owner at Corner Store comics and he stated they were pulled for a different type of clamshell type card packaging for the figures and the next series will be released in July. If anyone has heard anything please let me know.:eek::eek::eek:

I don't have an answer for you, but either way... it's making these figures harder and harder to find. :(

There is a thread about this, but the Mattel person isn't fully telling the truth. While they were not recalled, they were put on a list of "stop sale" items. This means that while Mattel is doing whatever investigation they are doing, or redesigning of the clamshells(which is stupid, i think they are pretty awesome atm) most stores are not allowed to sell them, and said products must be pulled from the shelves. Now the DC Universe, the figures to build the gorilla were allowed back on the shelves a few days ago, but the Kung Fu Panda, Speed Racer, and Batman were not. Personally, I believe the person from Mattel is trying to cover something up. Honestly, could all these lines need packaging redesign?

I heard they got pulled from TRU, and the Wal-Mart I went to today had 0 movie masters. The whole section was gone.

The Movie Masters packaging sucked IMO. It was ugly and plain. Hopefully we will get to see something better.

The MM packaging is fine... what more are you looking for? Glitter?

More bling MM.
More bling bling.
Afterall, if the figure isn't any good, might as well dazzle them with some batastic flair.

Just got back from TRU and they still have DCU Series 1 and 2 on the shelf. Picked up a Ronnie Raymond Firestorm and that old Batman/Robin 2-pack. Most of the figures were from the first series as series 2 is very scarce around here. BTW, I don't have a lot of free time and if my TRU does recall the figures I can't do it, but if anyone needs help with a few figures I can try and pick them up for you for cost plus shipping.
