Does anyone know if Mcfarlane is continuing the Simpsons line? I think it is one of the coolest licenses they have and it should have a lengthy run. I know my collection isn't complete without a Moe Szyslak. :D

I think they are done. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You're kidding right? If that's true, no wonder they're HALO crazy, it's the only license they have that's actually selling.Man, they have had some great licenses that have gone nowhere the past few years, but I guess that's are fault.

With the successful playmates line that ran prior the McF Simpsons had little to offer in my opinion

The playmates versions were cool, but I liked McF's scaled dioramas better. If the line truly is canceled perhaps I will go back and acquire the playmates line. Like I said...I NEED MOE SZYSLAK! ;)

The Simpsons line was neat, but Simpsons is really running it's course, not just merchandising, but also on TV. The show isn't nearly as good, and ratings are dropping

I think people got spent on Simpson's toys after being offered a pretty comprehensive offering from Playmates.

It sold terribly, I saw clearance simpsons everywhere

No one saw this coming. Many people on the boards were in outrage over the influx of retro animated quasi-kid friendly product. It was understood the reason for these properties were to get the foot in the door with the major retailers in a market slowing down.

Absolutely, and what better time to take a stab at the Simpsons than right before the forever talked about movie was released. On the other hand they were asking fans to pay out more money for toys that didn't fit in with the years and wears worth of playmates stuff that covered most of the entire Simpson-verse.

I think another flaw with the approach they took was that they took on kid friendly licenses, but didn't really offer a kid friendly product.

For all the complaining about Halo it has been a huge- and much needed- retail success.

I don't know if the Simpsons or Hanna Barbera lines were supposed to be kid friendly. I thought the intention was to get non-collectors in general to buy something. That seemed to be what everyone was talking about when McFarlane began planning those toy lines.

I was referring more to Wallace and Gromit I guess.
