I have been building my own display case. Couldn't find what I liked, so I am doing it my self. Its a very ambitious project since I am no carpenter. I would like to use 2 or 3, 20w halogen "puck" lights (I assume like the one in the Deltofs you guys have) for lighting. Halogens put out some heat. My question is; Will it get too hot inside the case with these lights? I do not want to jeopardize my figures......any answers/suggestions considered.
Thanks!
In another thread someone suggested LED pucks. Works on AC.

I used a six pack from Lowes. I think it's put out by Westek lighting. They ARE halogen, but are also 3 level dimmable. I think it was $35 or something. They do surface mount also, but as long as you have some distance or venting, you should be ok. I'm assuming you won't be leaving them on for hours at a time?
I have tried the LEDs, from spots, to strips, to push button battery operated, and they never give off enough light, or too direct.
