One of my toy and life fascinations/ obsessions is marine life and what goes with exploring it. My favorite Element if you will. As a result i tend to always buy the toys from a line that deal with water. Frogmen, water monsters, ocean geared stuff, etc. I collected only the Water Dragons from the Mcf line.
I would love to see more toys based on this element as there are so many design possiblites that lie within the vast inhabitants of the ocean.
I may be alone in this though.:o

Nobody else digs Sea stuff? :(
Basilisk is one of my favorites from McFarlane of late.
White Line Nightmare

Love that stuff, and always have, going back to a wind-up swimming turtle I had as a kid.
I'd like to see another McF deep sea diver with better sculpting and articulation (I can dream, right?), maybe as a part of an aquatic-themed horror/Monsters line, or maybe some Big Daddies from Bioshock...

Some Bioshock stuff would be nice. Everyone is saying licensed and videogame figs are in now.

Trance Viper is also a sea creature nut! :D

Trance is indeed a sea-critter nut. I wouldn't call myself a nut, exactly, but there's definitely enough wild-looking stuff down there to mine design elements from. Could be some very neat toys- especially with a super-retro deep sea diver guy, like White Line Nightmare said.

I'm with you, and like Uwe I love the Basilisk for that reason :
cool sculpt + aquatic monster = perfect toy formula

Cabin Control Nemo and Wave Rider Nemo are pretty spectacular as far as marine-adapted toys.

One of my first (really cool) toys I remember was the Remco Frogman (http://cgi.ebay.com/REMCO-BATTERY-OPERATED-NAVY-FROGMAN-EXTRAS_W0QQitemZ330235554092QQihZ014QQcategoryZ719QQcmdZViewItem)-
22" long, he predated GI Joe by a few years & really swam!
Mine got away from me in Sheep Pond (Cape Cod) where he still might be swimming around-
Haven't see another toy like him, which is kind of surprising~

bring back Seaquest DSV toys!!
My god i loved that stupid show and even got a few of the toys. I bought all the models and put em together years ago.
I wish there was something new in the Water genre to take its place.:(

Well, there was that one show that had a sea monster in it, but it only lasted 5 or 6 episodes.
Can't remember what it was called.

I remember Surface, it lasted about 13 eps. I need a new fix of Sea fiction.

I only mentioned it because I noticed a Johnathan Brandis toy in an old bucket toy bucket the other day

If I had enough money and space, I could invest on a model from the Seaview and Stingray.
There is also a submarine from that series U.F.O. The "Skydiver"

I just watched that. I had never heard of that show before. Concept seemed like they jacked Thunderbirds but thats good in my book.

I always wanted a figure from Jacques Cousteau.......
I used to watch those TV series in the 70's and the adventures with the Calypso. Of all those episodes I still remember the travel of thousand of lobsters walking kilometers between the oceans.....

The Frenchman would be nice. There are so many possibilities for this genre its crazy. Its damn near limitless. More Seamonsters and high tech sea machinesare needed too.

I know you like GI Joe, so I figure I'd let you know, they now have a GI Joe 4 pack I saw at Target and WM lately with some Joe's in Scuba gear, with some oeceanic weapon stuffs with them. Maybe something you'd wanna look into and make a dio of? It looked pretty cool to me and I don't like GI Joe's all too much.
And I like underwater stuff too. I had the whole set of Seaquest figures, but I unno what happend to them. They disapeared at some point. But there hasn't been any cool undersea toys I've wanted lately.

Those are cool looking, but the gun is a little big for the figure.
