Of course!
Sorry, but any military line without some kind of opposition seems pointless.

Yes. The first Call of Duty toys had Nazis. These should too.

Hell ****ing yes. As Uwe (I think it was Uwe, anyway) said in one of the other COD threads- I want guys in trench coats.

...Polish maby? It all started there after all, still most tend to forget that (and please spare me some "it didn't matter" arguments coz' they're real stupid) I hugly doubt that we'd ever get any but US and British troops...maby there would be a bigger chance for that if it would be an in house line but sice it's CoD and we'll most probably be able to play only as US/Brits I do not see a big chance for some other soldiers...

While I understand some will want other countries, I think they should focus first on those that affected in priority most of the WWII period....
Obviously they will start with the American and British army, but they must follow immediately with the Germans and Japanese. After that, and depending on the demand and actual sales, then we can talk about making Russians, French, Spanish, Italians, etc.......

What are you talking about? The Russians weren't a big part of the war? That's news to me!
I understand people hate them and all, but they were one of the first few (besides France and Britain) that stood up to Hitler's Nazi army. Not only that, but you give the French too little credit. They stood right beside Britain when they both declared war against Germany.
And I fail to see how these wouldn't sell or be "in demand"? It was the greatest conflict in human history and it's one that almost everyone knows about and recognizes. Sure, they probably won't sell like hot-cakes, but they'll sell.

Don't get me wrong.....
I want them too. I am just looking into the raw market and the figures that will most likely have more demand at first.....
You have to agree that even counting the WWII movies made, the amount that have Germans and Japanese troops is higher.....
If we go history wise, then you are right.
And I don't hate the Russians.....I even respect them in many ways as they produced a lot of items in the war meant to last. Their rifles can take a lot of punishment, but they are easy to take apart and clean....
And don't let me start about the MIGS.....

And their tanks. Back in 2000 a Russian WWII era tank (I believe a t34) was discovered fully submerged in a peat bog; they dug it out, and the only parts that needed replacing to get it in working order were a few ball bearings. It hadn't rusted and I don't think the oil had even leaked.

Just look at the AK-47. While not a WWII weapon, it is considered the most reliable weapon in a top ten list. Easy to produce, to clean, cheap and reliable.....
It was make in 47 I believe, but still used on this period.....
I remember I had a Zenit russian camera once, It was completly manual, weighted a ton, but it was sturdy, reliable and I need no batteries to make it work....

I think this thread is being hijacked into another useless WWII discussion like the last one.
Therefore I will say McF HAS to make military figs from country's other then the US and UK to prevent to lose all credibility with this latest license.

Sure.
I would agree except for the ratio of Iron Man stuff compared to WWII stuff is a ratio of 1:100.
Hmmmm.....
1 Iron Man game to let's say, HUNDREDS of WWII games.
Yup. Good logic there.

Taken in moderation it's a good thing. The video game industry went crazy with all of the video games... but there's a reason for that. WWII makes for some good games. ;)
Anyway, the same could easily be said for modern combat shooters and figures. Can you say freaking "bleh." Call of Duty 4 aside... modern combat anything bores me to tears.

I understand that too...
BUT
On average, WWII shooters are worse than Modern ones. Outside of maybe the first Medal of Honor, Call of Duty 2, what other AAA WWII shooters can you think of?
Modern has a better average when it comes to scores and games me thinks.

Ya know, putting "Call of Duty" on the package really doesn't avoid the fact that these are just more McFarlane Military toys...
I'd rather not see anymore War Monger toylines in the future. There are some things that should never be praised or celebrated, and war is one of them.

Now, now don't get me wrong - I totally understand and agree with you but just for the record - yeah, France and Brits stood against the Nazi army but not as the first few...I mean - Poland was allied with France and British and this alliance was an assurance that if any of these countries would ever be a target of the German army, the other would go with help.
Unfortunately as the history showed, these were in reality mostly just words because the attack of Hitler was followed only by a declaration of war by both UK and France, and not by action, up until May, 1940.
And yes - this thread is turning into another WWII topic and from my point of view - any WWII related topic will always in the end turn that way.
Ok, I'm out, I haven't posted here for quite some time...

" A Canadian customer complained that the figure glorified the Nazi party and demanded that the figure be removed from store shelves. A representative for Plan B explained that the figure was intended to be a faithful reproduction of a historical figure and a video game character, and was in no way intended to support any political idea or ideology. Regardless, the company agreed to recall the figures."
So they recalled a toy because ONE jackass complained about it?
I can't wait for 8am local time to roll around... I'm going to call my local Walmart to complain about Sports figures, and how they glorify an elitist attitude, and how several pro athletes are convicted criminals / felons, so it's also glorifying crime, and then McF will have no choice but to cancel the sports figures....
I wish people would quit trying to be so ****ing politically correct. :(

Well, when Iron Man ceases to be simply a comic book character and becomes one of the defining events of world history then we can talk about letting Iron Man have a flood of paraphernalia.
