Protective Cases ????

Are there any new Protective Cases for the new Clamshells NFL 15 and NFL Legends? The old exclusive cases work for some. They don.t work for Mcfarlane Exclusive Boldin. ANY ANSWERS ???????????

Not at this time. A company has to put down a lot of money to mass produce such an item. There were a few companies planning on coming out with cases for what was supposed to be the latest standard for McFarlane figures. When they changed the size of the packages again they all had to back off and do not have plans to produce any soft shell cases unless a long term commitment to one package style is shown. It'll be a while until anyone is willing to take the risk. You should see some acrylic cases on the market soon, but not mass produced.

What is the depth on those? I have some that fit my exclusives and a few of the new clamshells, but they don't fit some of the new hockey clamshells, like Crosby and Ovechkin. The depth is the problem.

I think they used either the Terrell Owens or the boldin piece when they measured for the mold. these were made specifically for the new figures. Here is a picture with the Ovechkin, as you can see it fits without touching.

Don't think your gonna get much lower, unless you get used ones from someone. Its worth it to protect your figures.

They're for the super anal MOMC collector who can't handle a single ding to the corners on the plastic clamshells, minor scuffing, etc.

I do see the point of using a similar case for the new cardboard packaged figures, but it is asinine to use them on the all plastic ones.

Just to help protect the clamshells from damage. Some of these figures are quite expensive, if there is damage to the clamshell they would lose some value. Not all of us are super anal though :rolleyes:
