Why is there two sizes of the Battle Rifle?

Im seeing with the new figures that some are coming with smaller scale battle rifles, and others come with larger ones. Has anyone else noticed this? The larger weapons seem to work better for me. Im putting the smaller weapons on figures backs and they look really small.

Anyone know what is up?

yea, the ODST has the small one, but they really should have just made a medium sized rifle that would look good in the ODST's hands and a Spartan's hands, and di you also notice the peg is now permanently attached to the weapon?

My peg came right out no prob. Just a lil push from the other side and pop. I don't know about the smaller ones though.

The Scout also comes with the smaller rifle.

I used the small rifle cos I had more of them but the two sizes are just stupid.

It makes no sense at all, and McF can't even say "it's a scale thing" becuase.. last time I checked they're all the same size in the game...

I'd like an answer to this myself, though it's unlikely we'll get one.

IMO, they started production with the smaller rifles, then realized how small they where and upgraded the ODST Spartan.

Yeah, it was probably a scaling screw up at the factory.

I noticed that this friday when I got my Gamestop ODST.

I got the game stop one and was like.. ***? that's what everyone's talking about... it's weird, I like the bigger one.. I'll probably just use the smaller ones with the humans.

has anyone else noticed that the EVA helmet is bigger? My Toys-R-Us brown is considerably bigger (and more acurately proportionate) than the series 1 red EVA. I am not good with pics, but someone else should be able to show the difference.
