Another computer question wireless network help

ok for whatever reason the connection on my laptop doesn't work. it says the connection is connected but i can't get online with it and when i try to repair the connection it says.....

Windows cound not finish reparing the problem because the following action cannot be completed

TCP/IP is not enabled for this connection. Cannot proceed

For assistance, contact the person who manages your network.

can anyone tell me how and where do i enable the TCP/IP on the laptop

control panel>network connections> right click on your wireless adapter and hit properties

there should be a checkbox next to tcp/ip

try power cycling your modem/router
