Donald Driver & Jay Cutler NFL surpise chases!...or NOT!

as mentioned in the thread for the new retailer I work for Walgreens. I checked the AS-400 (our computer) for the new NFL figures and in the system it has individual WIC's (Walgreens product codes) for each individual figure in the 2008 Wave 1 & 2. It also lists

NFL Figure Donald Driver 10.99
NFL Figure Jay Cutler 10.99

I don't know which one is in which wave, but there you go collectors!

I still wonder what Jay Cutler has ever done to deserve an SP. I mean they went all those years passing over Rod Smith for a Broncos figure then decide to do an unproven QB?

I think as soon as they release, it looks like they will be merchandised with the regular toy department. We also have Kobe Bryant & Ben Gordon NBA figures in our stock database too.

Did I miss something? Walgreens is carrying sp's? If so, this is great news! I guess I won't have reason to complain anymore when the wife tells me to stop & pick up milk on the way home from work.

Sad...but true. Rod Smith not having a SP is a crime. But Cutler is a young up and comming QB that plays for one of the highest merchandise selling teams in the league (I believe they are in the top 5 for the AFC and in the top 10 overall) and it's not even Rod Smith...where's John Lynch?

Nope - not stupid - it's very hard to keep up with, even for long-time boardies and it's not listed under the 2008 releases yet. ;)

well at least i'll finally have a place closer than 40 miles i can get sp's from. on the downside,my walgreens toy section is messy as hell and tiny, and all the action figures they now carry are shoved onto the pegs and it dosen't seem like the new cardboard backs will be placed carefully and gently onto the pegs..lol. i see mangled sp's in my future.:( so when does this wave come out?
