My very simple Arbiter repaint

I, like many others, was frustrated by the seeming offness of the Arbiter's gold armor. I decided to go ahead and fix that tonight, so my first stop was the game itself.

I thought, "Dang, he IS gold in the light...it's really not TOO far off... but it still isn't quite right."

After thinking about it, I realized there really isn't that much that needs to be done. It just needs some silver on there and the armor should be a bit more reflective.

A simple wash of GW boltgun silver and voila! I'm finally pleased, though I may still add some red to the mouth. I'm posting it here for 2 reasons... one, I need more eyes for critiquing, and two, it's so simple that anyone could do it if you liked the look.

i think you did a great job on this arbiter. but the light was really reflecting on him too much so i can't tell EXACTLY if he's much more silver looking. maybe you could add a little bit of silver on him though. other than that he looks great. by the way about the mouth, just add a TINY bit of red to it, the way the brutes mouthes are but watch for his teeth though. great job again though.

Meh, I'd start collecting them but my wallet would not agree. I'm too hooked up on Spawn to start delving into the Halo craze. :spawnorb: Maybe someday.

I also can't stop looking at my figure on the way home. It's so hypnotic. :p

Good! Objective Achieved, then! Really, it is so simple to make him look decent that you wonder why we have to do it ourselves...


AD, I keep looking at screenshots from the game and he looks almost exactly as he should look when he's outside, and that's because he's kept most of his gold character.

I'm thinking about making an "indoors" variant that looks more silvery, but don't tell TMP or they might think it's a good chase idea ;)
