I am in love with this thing. I ran it before I went to work got home and my apartment had been vacuumed.

I am so lazy when it comes to sweeping etc and this thing does a great job.

I also made a little video of it in action ;)

Just be careful, they aren't exactly built to last. My mother has almost gone through two of them and she only uses them for hard surfaces really.

So far its done a really good job. And yes if you watch the video you will see it go around and under our coffee tables and under the sofas etc.

I've also heard the same thing and a bit worried. But I'm going to clean it pretty much everytime I use it. Hopefully that will help.

How much?

Not a clue got it as a wedding gift. Getting married in Sept and the gifts are already starting to come in ;)

Nice :D

I'd like to get one, but I'm afraid it would freak out the dog. Plus I've heard they're not terrific on carpet.

I honestly would only get one if it was customized to look like a Dalek, and it shouted EXTERMINATE THE DUST! instead of those soothing beeps it makes.

you can actually hack it to make it play other stuff... I saw somewhere online where someone hacked it to play the mario bros theme... i think it can only be midi sounds though

Might as well vacuum, eh? Seriously, those are pretty neat as a concept, but I have heard a TON of horror stories. It was a gift so that surely helps, but if it was me I'd invest in a nice Dyson (which we did, Woot.com for about $225) and be done with it.

Yea I hear ya. The problem for now is that we live in nyc and dont have that big of a place so we cant really afford the room for a large vacuum. But I'm sure we will end up having to buy another regular vacuum once we settle down and buy a place outside the city

I've seen one of those before at my friend's house. It actually works quite well on carpet. Not as well as a Dyson mind you but well enough to not have to worry about it.

Sorry to bring this back, but it just occurred to me that this is actually a very serious discussion about the pros and cons of different types of vacuums in a toys forum.

Until you put a gun on it I fail to see why it's so cool :p
