If it is, can we not have any figures sculpted in running poses?

Would be nice, I think. I wish they'd go back and "reborn" the T2 Terminator with the Arnold likeness. :( Ruined such a good figure.

wasn't the figure like that because Arnold wouldn't give his rights to have a figure made like him?
Terminator 3 figures were great, so hope this would be a good reasonn to have them do this again.

For statues, prop replicas, etc.
Considering SS doesn't make 6" figures, another company will have that liscence.

A McF John Conner/Bale would rock. I'm in. Might this be the fabled 2008 now 2009 movie license?

Yeah, that's the reason I heard too. But since T3...he obviously had the rights. Of course, now things might be different...again...ugh. Stupid Cahl-ee-foh-nee-yuh.

I forgot which member did this but it was really cool, he took the head on one of the T3 Arnold figures with battle damage no sunglasses and switched it onto the T2 figure, looked pretty cool

It looks like the 2008 license was for the remake of Where The Wild Things Are which is now in limbo.

Considering Arnold isn't in T4, it's not an issue.

so if TMP has the rights, there will be another special feature on the DVD with an excited Todd breaking down the details of all the figure?

This is interesting indeed, but I just can't get too excited about it. I mean there have been SO many terminator figures done in the past. And I love terminator as much as the next guy, but there are many other licenses that could have been turned into a line of figures before terminator needed a third set.

Has Mcfarlane ever tried to get other SuperHero licences? Man because I would love to see Mcfarlane do some Batman/Spider-Man/Vemon, etc. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

i think mcfarlane said he'd love to do a venom figure..but that would probably never happen since hasbro has marvel/mattel/dc direct has dc
and as far as superheroes mcfarlane has done wetworks/youngblood/image 10th anniv./maxx, etc

Batman and Spider-man are as hard to get as Star Wars. Only the big toy companies can afford those. Todd could put up his fortune for the license, and Hasbro and Mattel would outbid him without breaking a sweat.

I would really prefer it if TMP didn't do this, because the last time they did a Terminator flick they gave us four figs and boxed set and that was it. I would rather a company go all out and give us boxed sets we really want (THAT WOULD BE THE BIG ASS T-1 THAT WOULD'VE BEEN A WHOLE ****LOAD BETTER THAN THAT STUPID HELICOPTER CRASH BULL****!) than the 'diorama' approach we get from TMP.
Not only that, but TMP has a really annoying habit of getting a film license then forgetting or just not bothering to get the license to the one character that would actually make a decent fig. ("Beowulf") Or doing the figs, but putting them in dumb as **** poses ("The Matrix") on bases guaranteed to break down over time. I don't know why TMP is allergic to the simple STANDING position and it remains a mystery to me to this day.

I know. The blinking light was awesome. Every time I see it, I can't help but think how much cooler it would've been say.....in the head of the T-1 instead of two rehashed figs on a crappy clutter-diorama.

What would actually be cool is if they could somehow unify the license. Terminator Universe. All 4 movies, plus the TV show.

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREHEAD.
Who is that anyway??
As for TMP T4 figures....just dunno if I'd bother. Once you've gone Hot toys 1/6th it seems pointless going back.

I didn't even know there was another Terminator movie coming out. Either way, I don't have any of the older stuff, so I highly doubt I'd be picking up any of the new stuff. -_-

how is that possible if you've seen The Dark Knight? It's the main trailer before the movie...

Indeed. Such is the state of the world today, that things that actually make SENSE are thought of as madness.

Multiple companies can have multiple licenses.... McF has a Halo license... but so does Weta, and about 20 other companies.
I'm exaggerating, of course, but a "license" isn't always exclusive to one company and has a lot more to do with contracts and restrictions.

heres hoping, because imo it would be the first good license in years
