Hey all! I've had requests for this guide pratically every week on every message board, so here it is:
How to Take Professional Custom Photos (http://www.angelfire.com/mech/jinsaotome/WorkspaceSetup/Photoshoot.html)
It outlines the steps I take for my pictures and while it may not be news to some people, I hope this helps those of you who are always asking, "How does Jin get those detailed pics?" It's all there folks. Enjoy!

That didn't help me at all. I've learned nothing.

Hey, Jin, this was very informative for me. And surprisingly simple to understand. So I appreciated the tips and advice. I don't have the tools to practice what I just read, but I'll save this and come back to it. :) Thanks.

LOL! I know right? I have to put that disclaimer at the beginning of all my stuff, "This is only a guide and the way I do things, etc" just to be courteous and not step on toes. I wish I was a professional photographer. Next 2k I get I'm going to drop it on that super-epensive Nikon that everyone uses.

Thanks, I just bookmarked your page. Earlier today, I took pictures of my Living Dead Dolls from SDCC, but was disappointed with how they turned out.

Welcome guys, just trying to help out. Two more emails this week about it prompted me to get off my ass and make the guide.

Oh way cool. Best cam I've used yet, including all the ones my friends have that I've tried. Came with a free lexmark photo printer too, bundle for like $100 at Walmart

Wow that's a great deal :) !
Yeah it's a really good cam. Especially the macro function is awesome.

:)A million thanks Jin. I have a quick question. Have you tried using the light box on something bigger (like a 1/6 scale 12"+- figure)?

Jin...mind if I high-jack your thread?
When considering buying a photo-tent...DON'T!
Much cheaper to build your own and get the size you need/want for a LOT less. See guide in link below...

Some PVC piping, a bed sheet, and a lamp go a loooooong way.

Great guide! Might want to add that even with the tripod, it will help to eliminate all blur and shakiness by using the delay. Set the delay on the camera for 2-5 sec, and then once you click the shutter the pic will take after you've removed your hand...no human error!
Thanks Jin!
