The Drone - World record for breaking it soonest?

Hey all.

I bought the Drone Halo figure a few days ago, and after eagerly ripping open the box (Sorry MOC collectors :D), I get my Drone out and place him on the included stand...guess what? One of the pegs snap off, and it's now stuck in his foot. :mad: I'm guessing I can't replace it due to it being my own damn fault, but it's still annoying. I've got an awesome display of Halo figs and then a Drone with one foot on a peg and a load of Blu Tack under the other. It's absolute murder trying to pose it, and the slightest touch can completely knock it off.

Anyone got any tips?

Here's what you can do, get a small drill bit, you're english, so I'm not even going to bother attempting to guess the size.. so just find a drill bit that fits the hole.. drill out the broken peg. Now take a hair dryer, or boil some water and dunk the foot in, now pop the foot off and put it in your pocket.

Go to your local hobby store or someplace that sells wooden dowels (http://www.enasco.com/prod/images/products/76/VC100499l.jpg).. my walmart sells them in the craft section.. anyway, take your foot there, and then try out the small dowels, and find one that fits, buy it.. then take it home.. drill a smaller hole where the peg was in the stand, take some super glue and put it in the hole and push the dowel through.
Let the glue dry and then plop yer Drone on.. now, granted, the wood won't be as strong, and can easily break, so you have to be careful, I personally have a buttload of extra model car/plane/truck trees(the plastic rod like things that the parts are connected to).. so I just a piece off those, but if I didn't, then I'd go the wooden dowel route...

Mine did the same thing as soon as I opened it. On the plus side, they're worth 35 Halo points each, so it's good to have a few extras!

Two of mine broke the same way. I just have them posed sitting down right now, I plan on suspending them with fishing line when I get a chance so they fly. Wheee!

Love the fig - my favorite out of series 2 - but I've had problems with their knee joints on the left leg popping out pretty badly. Haven't had the peg problem... YET.

You could try to do what I do with broken weapon pegs inside the figure. But I unno if it'll work on a drone, I don't have any...

Take a pushpin and a sturdy razor blade and carefully pry the borken peg out of his foot, then use super glue to glue it back on the stand (make sure you don't lose it, they're small). And then be careful with it after that when you take him off the stand. I use Quick tite glue, but I unno what you have. Quick tite rules, although if your fingers get stuck with it you're in for a but load of pain prying them apart.

I've had half my weapon pegs break trying to push them into the Spartans legs, so I just pry the peg out from inside his leg or back, then glue them back together with the other piece carefully. Then I use it for a grenade peg, cause I don't wanna risk breaking it again on the guns.
