I may have missed it. Sorry if I did, but I am curious to see these unpainted figures.
Thanks.:)

It's really hard to tell in photos. You really need to see these things in person to witness how crappy they look with the unpainted plastic.

The ones that are taking the biggest beating are the two I was looking forward to. Esposito and Kovalev.
I should see them in another week or so. The thing that strikes me about the Lambert is aside from the plastic look, the lines are so clean. I am hoping this is the case with the Habs and it's an ok tradeoff. The paint hasn't been the greatest as of late. I raised the hairy eyebrow when the stripes on the white 2pk Koivu socks were very sloppy and PURPLE!!??

Did you take the puck off the FLYERS Parent?

Thank god the Parents look good. Leafs Fuhr looks like he's one of those plastic bubble hockey players. I've seen the Kovalev in person. It probably has to be the worst figure I've ever seen. Likeness is off, you have him on the back with a correctly proportioned CCM helmet and visor and then he's wearing a Bauer that looks like it's painted on his head. There's been players molded in their color before but they never looked shiny. Then the logo is about half the size it should've been. They really should start sculpting these with the patches in mind. It's not a huge gripe but crests and numbers affect the folds of the jerseys and they don't wrinkle like fabric. Overall, you have a bad likeness, under-sized helmet, no logo gloves, and shiny plastic on a bubble taped to a card. Worst figure ever.

I would rather they increase the price to maintain the quality of figures and packaging from the past than continue down this path. I suppose the bottom line will ultimately determine which direction the company goes. "Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. They paved paradise, put up a parking lot."

The Fuhr Leafs fig is bad only because of all the GF crap on it and his stick says Fuhr. Did TMP not have the rights to use the name of the equipment manufacturer? In looking at my other goalies, there are a variety of equipment makers there. Anyone know why this is so?

Really hard to tell from those pictures, I'll have to find some for myself to decide how I feel about the plastic, unpainted figures

It is because back in the day Fuhr used D&R equipment, a company that barely even exists today. It likely isn't worth the time and money for TMP to secure a license that they're only going to use once. Likewise, when Fuhr was with the Flames he used Franklin equipment, another scarely used equipment manufacturer. Again, it wouldn't be worth the time and money to secure a license they'll only use for one figure. It is even more troublesome when both licenses will only be used once on a figure with a 50/50 split in a single series. It just isn't worth it.
The "GF" is actually the same style as the old D&R logo.

The only bad parts about the Fuhr Leafs fig is the "puck markings" and how plastic the pads look. the Fuhr Flames aint that bad.

Very true which is why it wasn't worth it for TMP to do these Grant Fuhr figures at all. From the very first day that they announced the addition of the 2 Fuhr figures to this series I thought it was a very weak addition with little to no appeal.
I know they are just bonus "throw ins" for set that was originally just supposed to be 4 figures, but what's the point of throwing in junk like this?

Not really you still haven't seen any pics of the Esposito Habs figure. That figure by far is the worst culprit of this new molded coloured plastic fiasco.

That Flames Fuhr, just from the pics, looks like it belongs in a Happy Meal.:(. McToys? Nothing at all like the pre-production shots.

Ya go figure, the one awesome figure in this series is being packed like a Super Chase figure.
I just cracked open 10 cases at WM tonight and there was only ONE Bernie Parent Flyers figure in 10 cases.
How does that make any sense whatsoever??
Way to go TMP!!
