There's got to be somewhere you can take it where they can identify it.

keep them as pets.... you might be able to go to the call the local school, or pest control place...

take it into 1 of them and show them, tell them you need something to spray tp get rid of them..they'll identify it and tell you what you can do to keep them from coming around.

just make sure they aren't Brown recluse. Those can cause the worst bites i've ever seen. Google it. I would probably start calling exterminators and getting quotes. Finding one could be simple luck, finding 2 probably means infestation. I have a guy that comes every spring and sprays outside and inside the house. I never have bug issues. I also get my house sprayed for carpenter bees and wasps, which greatly decreases the number of buzzers flying around. Also, if you have mulch up against your house in your flower beds, try moving it out a foot and adding gravel against the foundation. That can get rid of alot of bugs.

I don't think you would find a Huntsman spider in Colorado, I could be wrong, but I think they tend to be tropical....I am about 98% it's a wolf spider...they are all over the place...

I'm pretty sure it's a Wolf Spider. They're common and not very harmful. If bitten, itching and a little swelling will occur. The only reason they're coming into your house is because its hot outside. I wouldn't worry about it.

You know on average, you're never 3 feet away from a spider. ;)

As 90% of us said the last time you posted.... that is a wolf spider. Nothing to worry about, it actually helps you by eating the bad insects. Just catch him and release him outside, preferably by a wood pile or tree.

Yep, them is Wolf Spiders. They're usually not aggressive, but they can be curious i.e., they will investigate your shoes if you let them. The painfulness and reactiveness of their bite depends of the person just like most venomous insects; the more sensitive you are to the venom, the greater the reaction.

Personally, I like spiders because they eat bugs and I HATE bugs. Unless it's a Widow or a Brown Recluse, I'll usually just catch it and take it outside.

Had a piece of equipment from Texas show up on a job. Inside the crate was a female black widow spider. I got a very big mayonnaise jar from the kitchen, put sand in the bottom, and a few sticks sticking up out of the sand, and kept her in my warehouse trailer. Fed her moths, and she laid two egg sacs.

When the job was done another worker took her to the Etymology Dept. at the University of Alberta where they gladly accepted her. They said it was fairly rare for a black widow to have two egg sacs at the same time.

Oh, the good old days.

I cought him, put him in a jar, and put some saran wrap over the top of the jar and made a lot of holes and fed him a couple of flys so far with a little bit of water. I am waiting till my girlfriends younger brother gets back from school to show him. I named him "the destroyer" haha because he instanly got a hold of the flys and mauled them both. Im iching as we speak. Thanks alot, for the next week I'll be looking all over my house for these damn things. My neighbor showed me the scar he had from getting bit by a recluse. Messed me up for about a month. My GF had to add that its known for some spiders to actually lay their eggs in a persons body. She said she knew a girl that it happened to. Went to the doctor & the doctor lanced the bump. And little baby spiders came out. Damn near punched her in the face for telling me that. Were not as close as we used to be.

In NY, I never cared....out in Nevada now, I just never know what's poisonous and what isn't...so I don't like any bugs out here. For the record, I did have a wolf spider in the house in NY once....have had a bunch out here in NV...it's just that I don't wish to ever see something that large in my house if it isn't paying rent!

Yeah, a recluse and widow are basically the size of a quarter to 50 cent piece with legs extended. A recluse also has a violin shaped marking on it and we all know the black widow has a red or orange hour glass marking.

But that thing you have is demonic.

Not to be confused with these Banana Spiders (Nephilia) which are relatively harmless and are here in North America.

Yep, and some get as big as dinner plates when they spread their legs out. They get even uglier when they're jumping at you or chasing you!

This is what they do to let you know they're pissed and about to break you off a piece. Only creature I've ever seen that will "put it's hands up" against something 40 times it's size.
