Gherig looks like it will be in the farewell Speech pose, not wearing a hat/helmet and he looks older.

Who is the right handed batter at 2:29?

Also, I think the head sculpt on the left is Griffey in the Damon/Jeter pose for the 3-pack.

The other one, I'm not sure...maybe Ryan? Although it doesn't really look like him.

It's Griffey, Gherig and it really does look like Stan Musial. Not sure who else it could be.

Unless they're planning on releasing it with next years Legends.

Hey, Hardcore, can you make out who that is at 2:29? And where did you see the Raider 3-pack, can you make out who's in it?

What's the NFL 3-pack next to the Long 2-pack...or did I just answer my own question?

I don't know who these two people are. And I want to intern with Ed Frank.

NFL Legends 5 will have a 2nd figure for one of the athletes. I can't really tell what it says, but it appears to end in an 'N' but don't quote me on that. It's very hard to tell because Frank won't move that freaking Joba binder but it looks like Walter Payton 2 based on the letter shapes and length of the words.

This is fun.

They are doing a computer sim of a RH batter with a mullet wearing the #9 on the front of his jersey. The number is 'double outlined', meaning it's got the inset number and then a much bigger, wider border.

When you can see the Howie Long two pack and the Archie Manning binder about 2 seconds after they have NFL Legends binder and one has a long last name which looks like it ends in son......meaning I think we will be getting an E. D.ckerson

Be careful when looking at some of the binders. The 2 inch ones are for 2/3 packs. There are 3 of them for Cooperstown, which either means we are getting 2 new ones, or the binders were out for Maris/Mantle 2 (which you can see), Bonds/Mays, and Bonds/Ruth.

Hardcore Legend

That isn't Musial. I bet it is Nolan Ryan 3 not that I think about it.

Also, it appears he took that Andruw Jones 2 figure out of the MLB 23 bin, which has a new headsculpt on it, thus kinda confirming that Justin Upton will be in the Andruw Jones 2 pose.

It appears as if the Legends binders that are to the right of the Long 2 pack (the ones being blocked by the Joba binder) are for the series that just came out. The one Hardcore thought looked like Walter Payton 2 is actually Joe Montana 2, I believe. To the right, I could kinda sorta make out John Riggins and then Tarkenton to the right of him. The other couple to the right, I can't tell at all.

I think all the Legends 5 binders are situated to the left of the Archie Manning one that is visible-you can see the same NFL Legends logo on the spines of the binders to the left.

The "long named Cooperstown" figure that Hardcore mentioned also looks like it is someone's 2nd figure, whoever it is. There appears to be a space between the last letter (or number in this case) and the last name.

Na, if you look mostly at the left arm, it's extended outward (towards the field) where as the Rolen/Cabrera/Youkilis sculpt, the arm is more across the body.

How do you feel about Archie Manning as a legend? Good god, then the 3 pack will come,,,,,what about Steve Young and Terry Bradshaw before this guy

UFCFan
08-30-2008, 12:08 AM
An Archie figure doesn't excite me at all, but I've honestly been expecting one for 3 years now, so I'm not the least bit surprised to see it is happening. Of course there is going to be a Manning family 3 pack, too. That's probably 90% of the reason they even went after Archie's rights.

As to the other part of your comment, I think people need to stop with the "they don't deserve it as much as (insert player x, y, and z)" thing. Why does there have to be some order in which the players are released, especially with figures of retired players, where they have to get licenses for each separate player?

Ben also insinuated a while back that Terry Bradshaw either wants way too much money or isn't interested in having his figure made, and who knows how much Steve Young is demanding? You have to believe McFarlane has gone after his rights some time in the last 3 years. I think because he and someone like Michael Irvin, for example, played not all that long ago, and those two are or were still in the spotlight recently with their tv gigs, they could very well be pricing themselves out of McFarlane's range right now.

I believe it is merely out of place. Look at the number at the top of the Binder. It is 5, not 4, like the other five binders there.

Isn't it possible that that binder is for the Montana 2 displaced chase Chiefs version that will be in Legends 5? The binders aren't only for new sculpts, either, because they had them for the Miguel Cabrera repaint as well. Out of all those binders on that right side, that is the one I could make out the best, and it clearly looks like Montana 2 to my eyes.

Cleavage Sculpt

So some of these figures aren't necessarily sculpted from scratch? A player is usually scanned into the 3D scanner and then 3D printed out and then they make injection molds out of those 3D prints?

Is a mod going through everyone's posts and changing the spelling of Lou Gehrig's last name? Because I can't believe that so many baseball fans keep misspelling Gehrig.

Where are you guys seeing all of these names or figures???

I would love a CHris long and a Archie Maning in ADDITION to the other legends please. Stil very sad about the last basball legends lineup as is.

Gerig is great!
Fingers is GREAT
BRETT is GREAT

Jackson is the debatable question mark. Yes, a great athlete but is he a legend with so many of them out there???

Then of course remakes of Ruth - Ryan (again).

I hope that Mcfarlane takes it in the spirit is was meant. I love these figures ... hope they succeed tremendously - I acknowledge they know variables that we don't. I just wish through creativty they could find other ways in releasing Ryan 3 - Montana 3 - Gretzky 6 etc Ruth 2, ... love those guys and will support and think the market will I just like the new athletes represented with only 6 chances/figures a year. There must be another creative way. Go Stan Musial and Lou Brock for next years All-Star game! I will by hundreds myself. :)

No, it was the Long 2 pack that had the Raider logo on it. The other one is an elite club 3 pack but the font is too small to read for the names.

Probably the QBs. The only other one you could really do would be WRs. Moss, Owens, and Harrison.
