are the Red Sox only 2 wins off their pace? It appears to me that the Red Sox are peaking at the right time. I hope they can bump Tampa out of 1st place this week. Go Sox!

I am a Sox fan but to this point the Angels are the better team.i think the Sox are 1-8 against them this year.

I know several Cowboys fans who are also Red Sox fans like ourselves.

Probably because the Angels are in full-out coasting mode while the Red Sox are still trying to win a playoff spot?

Who said the Angels are the best team in the AL? They just have the best record in the AL but their run differential shows that they aren't as good as their record, they still have trouble scoring runs. I'd still take the Red Sox as the best team in the AL.

The Angels are coasting now, although they won't admit it. The Red Sox are peaking now, but will they have enough left in the tank, one month from now?

the angels are the most fundamentally sound team in all of baseball and their offense will gel even more as the season winds down. they are 5 deep with startes 7,8 and 9th innings are lockdown and they do every little thing right when at the plate.
the red sox have shaky middle relief and shaky 4 and 5 starters and they seem to still be adjusting to being a team who uses their legs more to score runs and not just big bats. both teams are good and it's splitting hairs picking one or the other but if a gun is at my head i'm picking the halos since they do things right you can't practice and that is the sign of a special team.

Definetly will be out of fuel by the playoffs. Its unchartered territory for them. They arent use to playing deep into the playoffs so its going to be a BIG issue....oh wait....nm :)
And honestly with all the injuries the Sox have had this year their players are fairly rested lol. They just got Beckett and Lowell back. Drew is the only guy out now that is of big importance. Once he gets back Kotsay goes to the bench which gives them amazing depth. I think they will be just fine.
Angels arent coasting right now they want homefield throughout. They are only 2 games up in that race though. I really dont see the Angels wanting to start a series in Boston with the past problems theyve had. The Red Sox are a far different team right now then when the Angels played them this season.

THE RED SOX DON'T EVEN LEAD THEIR OWN DIVISION.
Can we wait until after this upcoming series between the two before we sing the praises of the Boston Red Sox?

i hope you're being sarcastic since like game 7 in 2002. and lackey, shields, k-rod, GA and figgins were all there and they are key to that team succeeding.
